"Art always asks questions and conveys meaning. It helps us artists and audiences to perceive, interpret, and judge artworks." I yawned as the professor continuously talked about the topic of Art Perception and Appreciation. Hindi naman ako na-inform na discussion agad ang magaganap. Akala ko mga self-introduction lang. Because that's usually what happens during the first day, right?
"To analyze and explain a work of art, art critics normally use these six questions: What is the work about? Why did the artist create it? What is it made of? How did the artist do it? What is its mood, temper, personality? Is it a good or beautiful artwork?" Patuloy lang akong nakikinig. I think, medyo natututo naman ako. Hindi nga lang ako familiar sa subject na ito, which is Art History and Criticism. Kasi I didn't take any art classes when I was in Junior and Senior High School. Kung mayroon man, hindi ganito ka-deep kung hindi mga elements and principles of arts lang.
I looked at all my classmates. Mga sampu lang kami so madali silang pagmasdan isa-isa. May galing rin sa ibang batch pero hindi ko alam kung bakit ko sila classmates dito sa subject na ito. Lahat interested pero based on their faces, they somehow know the lesson already.
Napalingon ako sa katabi ko. She's taking down notes. Wow. Ang sipag.
Nagulat ako nang tumingin siya sa akin pabalik. Napansin niya atang pinanonood ko siya. She smiled and said, "You want a copy?"
She has a pretty smile. No, she has this angelic face na gugustuhin mong titigan nang matagal. Lahat ba dito sa Art School for the Elite, mukhang mababait?

"Oh, so you're the prodigy awardee and Vance Morgan's sister na hindi nagpakita for a year dito sa ASE." I was left speechless. How come people know me here when I don't have any single idea about them?
"I'm not a gossip girl nor a stalker, ha. It just happened to be that the student council president is my friend, so I know about a lot of students' backgrounds." Really? This girl that looks like an angel is friends with Mayne, na kung tumingin ay parang papatayin ka everytime na mapalapit ka lang sa kanya?
"Bakit may ibang students from higher years na nandito?" I asked.
"Like me, may mga ibang students na hindi nakapag-take ng subject na ito dati. Meron namang, you know... failed." She answered.
