Lyra Snape x Fred Weasley (where he doesn't die)

SURPRISE!

before we begin lets get you a name: how about Lyra? cool anyways... back to the story.

Lyra's point of view

"Lyra! Come down stairs. I need to talk to you." my dad (Severus Snape) says up the stairs.

"Coming dad!" I say then get dressed and head down stairs, "what do you need to talk to me about?"

"You've been begging me to let you go Hogwarts ever since you letter came this summer and I've decided that I will let you go." he says.

"Wait really?!" I ask totally surprised.

"Yes. But you know the rules."

"Don't get into fights, don't sneak off somewhere, and don't get into trouble."

"Good. Remember to behave. I'm letting you go to go to Diagon Ally by yourself to get your stuff later today."

"wait. You're letting myself -a 11 year old- to go into Diagon Ally by herself?"

"No not completely." he says, "I'm making your cousin -Draco- go with you."

"But... dad! Don't you know what Lucius did to me last time I was with any of the Malfoys?!" I ask.

"I know. But his father won't be there. His mother will and she always treats you nicely."

I still don't like Draco's father. The last time I saw him was a few months ago, where he dragged me off, alone, and started torturing me just because I'm a half-blood. I'm lucky to be alive to be honest. I look down at my left arm which is still covered in scratches and scars from every time Lucius or anybody hurt me.

"Dad I'm still scared of the Malfoys!" I say admitting my fear of them.

"Lyra, what is that on your arm?!" dad asks concerned.

"Scars from Lucius."

"Let me see." he says.

I show him my arm.

"It'll be ok. Like I said Lucius won't be there so you will be safe."

"Are you sure dad?" I ask.

"Yes Lyra, I'm sure. Now get your Hogwarts letter so I can get you over to the Malfoys soon." he says.

"ok." I say.

I run upstairs to my room, grab my letter and run back down stairs. Then we apparate to Malfoy Manor.

A few hours later Narcissa, Draco, and I go to Diagon Ally.

"Meet back here in the Leaky Cauldron when you're done." Narcissa says.

"Ok." we both say.

After we get everything but our wands,

"Hey Lyra, are you forgetting something that always happens at this time of day?" Draco asks.

"Please tortour me after I get my wand." I say.

"Fine." he says.
