A/N: Sorry this is late. I hope you enjoy! Prompt: choking | gagged

His first experience of being choked was when he was four years old, a few months before he was diagnosed as quirkless. He had been playing at the park with Kacchan while their moms talked when a villain attacked. Izuku was on top of the play structure when the villain arrived. He tried to follow the other kids and run back to his mom but the villain hit the structure before he could. He had tumbled slightly down the building on to the net they used to climb to the top. The rope was torn in different places from the villain, causing there to be a big enough hole for his neck to fit through. On impact the rope gave a painful tug at his neck, probably leaving a few bruises. Luckily he was able to hold himself up with his hands to stop any further pain.

Unluckily a hero had arrived causing the rampaging villain to get nervous. Before he knew it the villain had torn the net down, taking him with it. He couldn't make out the words the villain was saying due to his loud sobs but he thought he heard the words 'hostage' and 'kill' mentioned. The villain payed no attention on him, instead watching the heroes and the arriving police; so he didn't notice that the angle he was holding the rope was causing him to choke.

He remembers how he couldn't breath and no one was even noticing. Right before he passed out he heard one of the police men finally notice that he was choking from the rope and yell it out to the villain. He was told that the villain had been so shocked to realize that he had been choking which let the hero make an easy arrest.

He only remembers it slightly but his mom would talk about how he would start freaking it whenever something was wrapped around his neck.

By the time he was in middle school, most of the trauma from the incident had gone away but then the slime villain happened. And even though the villain had choked him from the inside instead of the out it brought back his fear of being touched in the neck.

Later when he arrived home his mom tried to hug him and he flinched away. After telling her what happened in vague details, making sure to leave out All Might's secrets she understood. Over the next year leading up to U.A. she made sure not to force anything to touch his neck.

When he started at U.A. he had to wear a tie but he always made sure it was never to tight. Again his fears started to slowly fade away as he grew more and more fine with his friends swinging their arms around him.

But that led him to where he was now. At the mall, with his friends to shop for the needed supplies for their upcoming training camp. Within seconds everyone had left and he was left alone. It slightly stung to be left alone on a class shopping trip but he knew his class didn't mean anything bad by it. After all mistakes happen.

What happened after that, was what hurt the most.

Shigaraki....

The villain had threatened to kill other people if he did anything, so he did his best to calm down but the four fingers pushing down in his neck made it nearly impossible. He did try his best to not react to the choking sensation- bringing in painful memories but as the villain got angry the fingers grew tighter. And suddenly he could no longer breathe.

Against his well a pitiful scream escaped his throat causing the other to freeze.

"I thought I told you not to react."

People all around them had started calling people on their phones and see what was going on. He tried to yell at them to get back but the only thing that came out was a low whine. Some of the brave were getting ready to help him, making the fear dwelling inside him grow.

Shigaraki looked around for a few seconds before talking again; "Stop. Don't come any closer or the hero brat gets it." He gave a slight tug at his neck to show the spectators he wasn't joking.

"You know brat... I was serious about my threat but since you helped me so much I'll spare them... But you still didn't listen... Yes, yes. You need to be punished." Any protest that was still alive inside him died out when he saw the others grin.

Keeping one hand on his neck at all times the villain managed to shrug the black jacket off himself. Izuku tried to focus on the fact that the police had arrived, meaning that heroes would arrive soon but it was hard to focus on anything but Shigaraki. Shigaraki was currently tying the black jacket around his head, quieting his sobs. Once the villain finished tying the gag he started pulling him back. When the police noticed he was being dragged away from them, they tried to step in but the slow lowering of the fifth finger stopped them.

"I wouldn't follow us if I were you... Would hate for you guys to have to sweep up a pile of dust to give to his loved ones."

With that he was pulled away. He met eyes with the familiar police man that he knew was friends with All Might. The police officer started to reach out a hand only to stop, seeming to have remembered the threat. As they turned the corner, he caught a glimpse of the police officer trying to reassure him.

When they were alone Shigaraki squeezed his throat tighter, only using four fingers. The villain continued holding on to his neck, only seeming to squeeze harder.

Right when he felt like he couldn't last any longer and was about to pass out the other finally let go. The other continued to kick and punch him until he was black and blue and coughing up blood everywhere. The villain looked like he was about to continue when he suddenly pulled out a phone from his back pocket.

"Hm... Seems like your lucky today brat. Your teachers arrived. I'll leave you alive for now but next time I see you, your dead."

Izuku tiredly blinked up at the man from his position on the floor, trying to see through the swollen eyes and dripping blood. The other had just started turning the opposite corner from the one they came from when he suddenly turned around and walked over to a pile of crates to the side. The villain then disintegrated the wooden crate, leaving only a rope left. The man grabbed it and brought it over to him. Before he knew it, his neck was being tied in the rope, as the other end was tied to some kind of pole above. He was quickly yanked up by the neck and left hanging in mid air.

"Let's see if the heroes can get to you in time."

A/N: Thanks for reading! Feel free to comment. (I might end up writing a second part of this, showing how it ends. It most likely would be written as a fulfillment to a different prompt, so keep a look out for it. )
