A/N: This one's late as well but here you go. ***Warning Manga spoilers**** You Have been warned****** Prompt: taunting | insults | "Who did this to you?"
After since The Paranormal Liberation War things hadn't been the same. The villains got away after leaving a trail of destruction and the citizens lost their faith in heroes. Uraraka was trying to stay positive but after Deku ran away to play hero, it only got harder. All of class 1-a, was worried about him and knew they needed to step in, before it was to late.
Along with their worries about Deku, they worried about the future. None of them wanted to quite but they all knew that there was a big chance of dying. So as they sat around- classes having been canceled, they wondered who would die in the future fights and if the villains would win. They were worried that they wouldn't be strong enough to stop the villains and Japan would be turned to them.
The new knowledge of Deku's quirk did help with their worry, but it also created new ones. They all knew that Deku wouldn't give up till everyone was saved, and wouldn't hesitate to be heavily injured to do so. While yes it was good he was saving people by leaving UA, he was also burning away his energy, making him vulnerable to attack.
And not only did the worry of Deku and the future bring her mood down but the people staying at UA. The people they brought in to protect weren't happy with them. She could constantly hear their complaints about the situation. She did her best to ignore them but they only added fuel to the fire.
She knew that in reality they were all just scared and used to living easy life's but it still stung. Still she ignored it day after day, until one day when Todoroki returned back to the dorms.
All of class 1-a, besides Deku who was still out and about and Todoroki were in the common rooms. They had been spending more time all together after the recent events, after all they didn't know how many more days they had to live. They were about to start making lunch when Todoroki returned. She was one of the first people to notice the dark bruise over his eye. He had a sorrowful look on his face, clothes ruffled like someone- maybe multiple people had pulled back and forth on his shirt.
"Who did this to you?" Momo had shouted, jumping up to check on him. Uraraka was soon to follow.
"It's fine..."
He didn't look like he was planning to continue, until they all started shouting in outrage, how it wasn't nothing. Nobody was willing to let the conversation go because in the end they were a family and whoever hurt one of their own hurt them.
"Just some angry people.... Their not to happy about my dad... They wanted to vocalize... and show their opinions I guess."
An angry buzz filled her head. How dare they. UA had let people into their own safe space, in order to help out only to be repaid by this. To be repaid with taunts, insults, and pain. She got that they were scared, she was scared but this was not okay. No one was aloud to come in to her home and walk all over her friends.
It was in that moment she decided, while she wouldn't hurt the people. She would make them learn the truth. Force them to accept the facts. And force them to stop tearing apart her friends. They would learn to be grateful to the people putting their own life's at risk and they would stop complaining that the heroes weren't doing enough.
She worked hard, planning out on ways to make the crowd believe her words without angering them. Her chance came when they were bringing Deku back into the gates. She convinced them to let Deku in, and while that wasn't everything she wanted to accomplish it was a start. And with that start she would be one step closer to completing her goal. She'd continue planning, and working until her dream became a reality because that's what her friends deserved.
