Chuuya stared at the sun slowly disappearing into the horizon. The wind blows gently on his face and the smell of the ocean lingering through his senses. Yamashita park is almost empty. Parents holding their kids as they walked back to their cars, kids giggling with excitement, joggers taking deep breaths before resuming their run, and workers walking back home after a long day's work. All pass in front of him and Chuuya just sit there observing.

He's supposed to go to work today but immediately been kicked out by none other than the boss himself and Kouyou. They smiled to him, giving him a bouquet of camellias and wishing him a happy birthday. Elise too, manage to catch him off guard and tackling him to the ground as she offered him one of her drawings and a cake.

That's right. It's his birthday. The boss give special privileges to skip work for the day on birthdays. Chuuya thought he could get away with that but no, Kouyou threatened him if he ever stepped foot in his office. So, Chuuya walked out of the building but not before encountering an army of mafias smiling, wishing him and even giving him presents.

Even Hirotsu offered him a small gift, patting his head and smiled as he wished him. The Akutagawa siblings were no exception. They managed to see him before going on their mission, giving him their wishes and gifts.

Chuuya looked back at the bag he received and smile. He was grateful for today. It feels good, seeing so many people care for him and wishing him despite them living in the mafia life. There's tons of gifts inside and he thought of opening them but instead he waited. Waited for the last gift he will receive and be the first to open.

"Chuuya!!"

Speak of the devil.

Chuuya turned towards the owner of the obnoxious voice, grinning as he looked at the man approaching him.

"You're late."

"Yeah. Have some business to do."

Chuuya looked at him, suspicious. He pointed accusingly. "Don't you dare blew up my car again."

"Oh please, I won't do the same tricks twice." Dazai gave a reassuring nod.

Chuuya shrugged."Doubt it. The agency don't change you for that."

"And why are you still in that same lame hat? This is your birthday, shouldn't you wear a party hat or something?" Dazai pulled out a small party hat from his pocket. "See, I even brought a hat for you." The edges were lined with sloppy attempts of glitters, big funky letters spelling out his name, and the whole hat was a vibrant neon color.

Chuuya grimaced looking at the monstrosity. "I'd rather die than wearing that in public." Despite saying that, he took the hat and place it inside the bag with all the other gifts.

Dazai finally take notice of the huge bag beside him. "Is that presents?" He let out a teasing grin. "As expected from the favourite executive."

"Of course, I'm more likeable than you."

He let out a small chuckle."Well, I can't deny that."

Dazai slowly approached him and Chuuya scoot enough for Dazai to sit beside him.

The sun already set, the lingering orange still present on the horizon but most of it replaced with the night blue. Street lights already lighting the surrounding area, illuminating bright colourful lights in the park.
