A/N Hey guys, I am so so sorry I have not updated in forever...whoops...
Anyway, I finally have...and I really hope you guys like it! I'm trying to stick exactly to my plan, but if things go awry...well, sometimes improv is best!

Anyway, I was wondering, since Wattpad is international (I think), I was wondering where you guys are from? I'm from Australia.

I love you guys, thank you so much again for reading this!✨❤❤

Anyway...have fun and enjoy!!!

"Keefe?"

Sophie's voice was trembling. She had no idea if this was Keefe, no idea if this was an ambush, no idea what was in store for her. Her shaking hand clasped the cool metal throwing star in her jacket and she took a deep breath.

Hearing her, the figure slowly turned around.

"Keefe!" she yelled, tears streaming down her face. She ran towards him, afraid he was an illusion or her imagination, but throwing her arms around him she could tell he was real.

His hood was pulled over his face so she couldn't see him properly, but she knew it was him. His movements were oddly stiff as he hugged her back, lacking their usual warmth. Sophie frowned and stepped back, studying him.

The cloak covered pretty much his whole body, but she could tell he was a lot skinnier than he was before. Worried, Sophie reached out to pull his hood back but he flinched.

"Come on Keefe! I'll get you home."

He looked straight at her. She couldn't see his expression and she had no idea what was going through his mind. She was so tempted to take a quick peek, but she knew Keefe deserved his privacy. Which reminded her! She did have a right to be mad at him...

"Sophie. I need you to come with me."

Sophie? Now she was really worried. He never, ever called her Sophie.

"Keefe, are you OK? Do I need to call Elwin?"

He seemed weird, super weird...she had experienced a whole heap of things in her life, but she had never thought she would see Keefe Sencen acting like this. Her frown grew so deep that she was worried it would stay there permanently.

"No! Please, Sophie. Don't you trust me?"

Sophie thought about it for a second, before nodding. If she had to trust anyone, it would be Keefe. She would entrust him with her life if she had to. Sophie knew he had only lied to her once, but that was the biggest mistake of her life and she was certain he would never do it again.

Not looking back, his dark figure entered the cave, expecting her to follow.

Sophie stepped tentatively into the cave after him, before deciding it was OK and scurrying after him. He made no sign he knew she was following him, just strode on at an increasing pace.

"Where are we going?"

Sophie's voice bounced around the cave. Her echos sounded jeering, unfriendly. Sophie knew she didn't sound like that.

"What is this cave?"

She saw Keefe stop, sighing. Even though Sophie couldn't see his face, she could tell he was very impatient.

"It's a secret cave. You can only see it at night," he said, not looking at her. "It turns your echos into your insecurities."

His voice was raspy and different. Cold. Scared, Sophie tried to back out of the cave, only for her back to be pressed against the wall. Keefe whirled around.

"What are you doing, Sophie Foster?! You said you would come!"

Sophie gasped at his cruel tone, a tear slipping out of her eye. This was not how she had imagined their reunion to go.

He walked up to her, so close he could breath on her. Sophie wanted to rip his hood off, to yell "THIS ISN'T YOU!" but she froze. Keefe reached out and cupped her face, stroking it gently. Her breath caught and her her traitorous heart beat so fast she was afraid Keefe could hear it, blood pounding in her ears.

"I missed you, Keefe," She murmured softly. "But now I miss you even more."

Before Sophie knew what was happening, Keefe had yelled "NOW!" and five dark figures stepped out of the shadows. One came from behind her and before she could scream, a scented cloth was wrapped around her mouth.

A familiar scented cloth.

She tried her hardest to scream but ended up sucking in more sweet- smelling air. She started writhing, and the person behind her held her still. The last thing she saw was a familiar white eye. The one waiting for her in her nightmares. The one that had haunted her since she was a child.

Now, it rested on her captor's sleeve.

A/N Ok, so this chapter was supposed to have more story with it, but it was a perfect place to end, so I am splitting it into two. My goal is now 10 chapters!
