Beneath Believing

-chapter 3-

   Everyone knew that this was a really dumb dare but they wanted to see what was going to happen so, they let the girls go to the basement. Mary was really scared for some reason. Her intuition wanted to tell her that this was a bad idea but Sid didn't want to go home.
Noah opens the door for them and they all get inside. Maddie was the first one to get in because she told everyone that she isn't scared. Next Victoria entered with a creepy smile on her face. She helped Sid to get in. Mary tried to run away but she knew that her friend would be mad at her. That's why she stayed.
The boys lock the door and because they didn't want the girls to leave that soon, they hid the key in one of the rooms.
( After 5 minutes )
"Umm, girls? They are still gonna get us out, right?" Mary said.
"Yea, yea! Of course they will. Don't worry about it" Sid responded.
( After 10 long minutes )
"Sid... I am scared. Are they gonna open the door any time soon?" Said Mary.
"I think so. Try not to think about it."
( 2 minutes later )
"For how long are we here again?" Maddie said with an annoyed voice.
"Let me check... About 20 minutes." Mary answered.
"We should call them to see what's wrong..." Sid spoke.
"Let me try" said Victoria.
"Ughh! No signal... Now how are we going to get out?"
"Watch and learn" said Maddie "HELP US! PLEASE! WE ARE STUCK HERE!!"
"And that's what I call talent." :>
"Nobody can hear us, Maddie." Sid said. "They were right when they said you are dumb"
"EXCUSE ME!?"
"Stop it, girls. Let's focus on getting out of this weird situation." Victoria responded.
"I agree. We shouldn't waste our energy." Mary said with a shy voice.
"Fine. Let's get out. I have to get home to redo my makeup anyways." Maddie spoke.
The girls made a plan. They wanted to find another way out because they knew that the boys aren't gonna open the door.
"I will go with Mary to the left! We will meet here exactly 15 minutes after we separate." Sid said.
"Why do I have to go with her? I don't even know this person!" Maddie spoke.
"Do you want to die here? If not, you will have to do some effort." Victoria answered.
The girls split to find another way out. Sid wanted to go with Mary to the left so that's what they did. After 3 minutes of walking in the dark, Mary saw something... She put her flashlight over it but then she realized what it really was...
"Sid... Is this what I think it is...?"
"Oh my... IS THAT BLOOD?!"
