Beneath Believing

-chapter 9-

   Back to our story. Well... the girls were not doing so good. They were dizzy but that didn't stop them from moving on. Sid tried to remember what happened to her but it's like someone erased all her memories from that moment. Was she the next one to die? Is she going to see her parents ever again? Or... why is this happening to them?!
   Those questions kept floating in her head. Was she actually okay? She couldn't just pass out from nothing!
   Suddenly, the room wasn't quiet anymore. They were hearing scratches. Like someone walked pass the walls but in the same time scratched them with their nails. It was horrifying. But then, when they thought something was about to happen... it all went quiet again. They held their breaths for a long time after this. The 3 girls were too scared to even make a sound. But this didn't demotivate them. They kept going and going. Their mental
health was so bad, at one point, Mary thought she was seeing things but in reality... the things weren't there. She saw her mum crying because of her not ever getting back home. She saw the police officers searching everywhere: the house, the nearby forest and the car but nothing.

"Mary...? Are you all right?" Asked Victoria.
"Yea... you seem a bit off. Are you hurt?" Sid added.
"Wha- yea... yea! Totally. Don't worry about me." Mary answered.
"Umm. Okay. If you say so!" Sid said with a suspicious tone.

~an hour later~

   So... quick update! Well! The scratches came back but this time, they weren't alone! Quiet voices started to make their way into the room.
They were getting worse by the second. The girls tried to figure put what exactly they were saying but it sounded like an ancient language. It wasn't something they heard before.
   Another hour goes by and the voices and scratches finally stopped. Maybe there weren't no scratches at all. Maybe it was their minds playing around again.

"Wait... guys! Did you see that or am I-?" Sid started saying.

But then... Victoria got dragged by someone or something similar to... WAIT! THAT'S WHAT SID SAW EARLIER!
But it was too late. The tall man already took Victoria out of the dark room. It all went quiet again. It was like that monster went into another dimension or something. The 2 girls were hiding in a corner trying not to start crying. Was this real? When is this going to stop?
