Chapter 7; This Time I'll Make You Proud

Alan's POV;

We pulled into the driveway and both got out of the car. I walked over to her and grabbed her hand. She intertwined our fingers as we slowly walked to the door and into the house.

She dropped my hand and walked into the kitchen, pulling out a bag of popcorn putting it in the microwave. She then walked over to the cupboard and grabbed a popcorn bowl setting it on the counter. I silently watched her, so adorable.. A minute later the microwave beeped and she went to take the popcorn out before pouring it into the bowl. She looked over at me smiling, "What are you looking at?". "Oh just you.. You're absolutely adorable, you know that right?", she blushed and smiled, "I think you're mistaken, that would be you". I felt my cheeks warm up, Im always blushing because of this girl jeez.

She grabbed the bowl of popcorn and walked past me towards the living room. I watched her as she set down the bowl and went over to the tv to pick out a movie, as she sat down to look through the movies I heard her ask, "500 Days Of Summer?". Smiling because she knew it was my favorite I replied, "Yeah sounds good" then went to sit on the couch as she put the movie in her PS3. She stood back up and walked over to me then dropped down beside me. She started the movie silently and replace the controller for the popcorn bowl in her hands before eating a couple pieces and offering me some, which I smiled about and said, "Thanks". She smiled back, ugh so beautiful.

After the opening scene of the movie I noticed she had moved a bit closer to me, I took this chance to put my arm around her. She looked over at me, smiled and put her head on my shoulder. We sat like this through about half the movie, before I realized I wanted to ask her to be mine. I wanted to call her to be my girlfriend. I looked down at her ask said, "Mare, can I ask you something?", she turned to look at me and nodded silently. "So uhm, since we like each other and all, I was wondering.. Would you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?", even though I'm almost 100% sure she'll say yes, I'm nervous. She smiled, "Of course Alan i'd love to be your girlfriend" she was blushing, she's absolutely adorable.

I took this chance to slowly lean down and kiss her for the first time. When our lips touched, it was perfect. Smiling, I pulled back a little and put my hands on both sides of her face, resting my forehead on hers. I heard her sigh and she closed the distance between us again, putting her hands, like mine, on the sides of my face. I'm glad she did, she wanted to kiss me as much as I wanted to kiss her. Ugh this is so great, she's so perfect for me. After she pulled away we were both smiling and looking into each others eyes. All of a sudden I hear Austin's voice break through the silence, "AWE OH MY GOD. That was the cutest thing ever, my sister and best friend are finally a couple awe I'm so happy you guys wow that was adorable. Oh my god". I started blushing and noticed Maryanne's face was bright red too.

Austin's POV;

After I was done with the meeting and interview I headed back home. I wonder how Alan and Maryanne's day was, if ginger princess and her don't know how each other feel by the time I get home I swear I'm gonna have to tell them myself. I turned up the music, Watchmaker by Hands Like Houses ft. Matty Mullins was playing. 10 minutes later I pulled in the drive way and saw Alans car. I quietly walked in the house and heard something playing on the tv. I walked in the living room to see Alan and my sister finish kissing. Oh my god. Cutest. Thing. Ever. "AWE OH MY GOD. That was the cutest thing ever, my sister and best friend are finally a couple awe I'm so happy you guys wow that was adorable. Oh my god" I walked over to them and sat on the floor infront of them, "YOU GUYS ARE DATING NOW RIGHT? I practically yelled. They were both blushing aweh. Alan spoke up first, "Uhh yeah Aus we are, you're cool with it right...?". He sounds so nervous, why? "WELL YEAH I'M OKAY WITH IT. Dude I've been waitng for this to happen for like 2 years!!! What took you guys so long jeez!?"

Maryanne started blushing even more, too cute!! Awe my little sister! And my best friend! Now most people would be pissed, but they've had feeling for each other for sooo long! I've been waiting years for this! I just want them both to be happy, it's what they deserve.

Maryanne's POV;

Well shit that's awkward... My big brother walking in on me kissing his best friend.. But then being really happy about it.. I don't understand him sometimes, why didn't he just tell me he knew? It would have saved me a lot of trouble and I could have talked to him about it. Ugh, sometimes I don't think Aus completely thinks about things.

I'm so happy he's okay with it though, I don't know what i would have done if he wasn't. To finally be able to kiss Alan, and then have that taken away from me? That would have been the worst. Austin decided to leave us alone and go to bed.

I turned to Alan, "So, that went better than expected." Alan laughed at that, "Yeah it did, I'm glad though. It would suck if he wasn't and made us stay apart.. I don't think I could handle that after finally having you be mine". I felt myself blushing before I leaned in and kissed him slowly. The kiss got deeper and I ended up straddling Alan on the couch. He licked my bottom lip trying to gain access which I quickly granted him. We laid there making out for a good 10 minutes, with our hands roaming a little. His hands had moved down to my waist, pulling my body as close as he good. After a little longer of that we slowed down to multiple short kisses, then I got off of him and layed beside him. We then went back to watching the movie with him spooning me.

I felt warm and safe in his arms wishing this would never end. I can't believe I'm dating Alan Ashby. I couldn't be happier. This is perfect. I felt him kiss my neck then pull me closer to him. His breathing got deeper, he had fallen asleep. So I too drifted off to sleep, to dream about our future together...
