Twenty Four

Cheryl and Toni had taken their children to school and had just finished their therapy session together.

They had drove in their own car since Cheryl was going to meet Raven for a coffee straight after.

'Well I should go' Cheryl said as they got to their cars.

'Yeah, where are you meeting her?' Toni asked with her hand still wrapped in Cheryl's.

'At a coffee shop in Greendale babe, are you still okay with this?' Cheryl said turning to face Toni, grabbing her other hand in her own.

'Yeah of course' Toni nodded.

'Okay, I'll be home in time for dinner' Cheryl said leaning in and placing a kiss on Toni's lips.

Toni deepened it before pulling away 'I love you'.

'I love you' Cheryl smiled before getting in her car, she gave Toni a final wave and blew her a kiss before setting off to meet Raven.

Toni stood for a minute a little deflated, she didn't know what to do with herself now Cheryl had gone.

She knew she had nothing to worry about though so she got into her car and drove home.

Cheryl felt like she was doing something she shouldn't be when she pulled up outside of the coffee shop.

She thought about turning around but she would see how she felt once she met up with Raven, if she still didn't feel right she'd find an excuse to leave.

She took a breath before she climbed out of her car seeing Ravens was already there.

As the redhead stepped into the coffee shop she saw Raven sat waiting for her at a table in the corner.

Cheryl put a smile on her face as Raven stood up to greet her.

They shared a awkward hug before sitting across from each other.

The waitress came over and took their coffee orders before walking away with a smile.

'How are you?' Raven asked.

'I'm doing well Raven, how are you?' Cheryl asked as she tried to relax.

'I'm doing good too' Raven smiled.

Their coffee was placed in front of them before the waitress walked away leaving them alone again.

'How are the twins?' Raven asked.

'They're doing really good, they're happy and excited for Christmas'.

If there was anything Cheryl could talk forever about it was her children.

'Christmas is an exciting time for kids' Raven nodded.

'Yeah they really love it' Cheryl smiled 'how's your life been?'.

'Good, I'm not seeing anyone at the moment so it can get pretty lonely but things are good'.

'I'm sure you'll find someone Raven, you're a good woman' Cheryl gave her a small smile.

'Thanks Cheryl, that means a lot coming from you'.

Cheryl just took a sip of her drink.

'So how's Toni?'.

Cheryl almost choked on her coffee, she didn't feel completely comfortable talking about her relationship with Toni.

'She's great, we're great' Cheryl answered simply.

'You seem kind of off' Raven stated.

Cheryl took a breath 'I'm sorry, that's not my intention. This all seems a little awkward you know?'.
