Chapter 6: The Fear of Night

(WARNING: BLOOD)
(The day after joining the limbo)
Philza's POV:

I woke up confused. I looked around my room until I realized where I was. I sighed and got up out of bed. I headed down stairs. I didn't see Y/N anywhere, I figured that she was still sleeping. That was until I looked at my clock and saw that it was about noon!? I was about to go outside when I noticed a piece of paper stuck to my door.

Going out for a walk today. Maybe we can train tomorrow? I want to explore and find a good spot for my home. Thanks Phil.

I took the note off and walked outside. I saw Techno inside our glass dome wheat farm.

"Techno!" I yelled.

Techno looked up at me and smiled. He walked out of the dome and hussled over to me. As soon as he was in arm reach he hugged me.

"What's up mate?" I asked him, a little suprised.

He quickly lets go. "Uh, nothing." He said in embarrasment. I think even he was suprised of what he did. "It's, uh, kinda weird to hug you with your wings. But lets just forget about that."

"Okay," I say. "Has Y/N come back yet? When did she leave?"

"She hasn't come back yet. I think she left about 4 hours ago?"

"Oh. What have you been up to?"

"Nothing much, just collecting food for us and Carl. And Steve, and the foxes. I also had to find more flowers for the bees. It's been a busy 6 hours."

"You've been up for 6 hours while I've been sleeping!? Was I really that tired?"

Techno and I go inside my house to have something to eat. After, I take some wood out of a chest and go outside. I find a good spot on the mountain next to us and start building. I want to make a good spot for me and Y/N to learn flying since I have nothing else to do. After Techno is finsished harvesting the wheat, he comes up to help. After 3 hours, we are done. The place has a wool landing pad, a ladder, and multiply levels from jumping from. And just in case, a crash pad made of wool.

"Looks good." Techno says. "I bet Y/N will love it."

"I hope she does." I say. "That kid seems to have been through a lot."

Techno nods. "I asked her early to see what was the reason she wanted to come here for. She said it was because of grades and relationship problems. Well, I'm gonna start out on a fighting area. You know, for practice."

"Thanks for the help! Good luck!"

He walks away. I better start learning to fly if I want to help Y/N. I start to get use to the feeling of turning and bending my wings. And after about 2 more hours, I offically take to the skies. I fly a couple of hundred feet above the ground. A feeling comes over me. I feel more free, or something like that. It feels nice. After getting used to flying up high, I practice landing and picking myself up off the ground so I don't have to jump of any structures. I have mastered the basics of flying. By the time I'm done, it's already sundown. I fly down the mountain and see Techno running out of my house. He spots me and runs towards me.

"Phil!" he yells.

I land next to him. His face is covered in sweat and hes gasping for air. I put my hand on his shoulder to calm him down.

"Hey whats wrong mate?" I say.

"Please tell me Y/N is with you!" he says.

"No,"

"She hasn't come back yet! I've searched every where and even the area around here! I can't find her!"

My eyes widen as I gaze upon the area around our houses.

"What? What do you mean she's not back yet? Techno she has been gone for 12 hours now!"

"I know! But we can't go looking for her any more now, look!"

He points to the sun that has is almost finsihed setting. My body is now filled with fear. Y/N is only a kid. How would she even defend herself? I know I just met her but she doesn't seem to know a lot about fighting when I saw Quackity almost kill her!

"We have to go out and look! She is only a kid!"

I start flying when Techno grabs my arm.

"Phil we can't! Even if you can fly now, which don't get me wrong is amazing, there are phantoms in the sky that will stop at nothing to kill you. The night is too dangerous, even for us. We'll have to go out in the morning. Right at dawn. But for now, let's go inside."

Techno pulls on my arm. I know he cares for me, but I stay in the air. I don't want to leave Y/N out there for the night. I look around as I see mobs start coming out of their hiding places. Techno pulls on my arm again. I finally stop flying and he quickly pulls me into my house and shuts the door. I sit down in my kitchen chair, my head in my hands. Techno hands me a bread from the wheat he harvested.

"I know that this is scary Phil," he says. "But she will be alright. Maybe she is staying with someone?"

"Who could she possible stay with? Everyone exept us hates her."

"Karl? Karl doesn't hate her. Dream doesn't hate her. Sam doesn't hate her."

"You're right. I'm being paranoid. Let's just go to sleep. We wake up at dawn and start looking."

Techno nods. He walks out of the door and I watch as he goes to his house. I climb up the ladder to my room and lay down. I close my eyes and fall asleep.

(The next morning)
Y/N's POV:

I open my eyes as to see myself about 10 feet above the ground. The sun hasn't even started to rise but I could tell it would soon. I'm still gripping the tree branch tight. I sit up and look at my arm. It's covered in dried blood from my sword scratching it. It starts bleeding again. I can't even move it as this point. I slowly climb down the tree with my one working arm. My only goal today is to get back to Phil and Techno's place. I start walking. By the time I reach the main path of the smp, the sun has just started rising. This was gonna be a long walk. I eventaully passed the ruined community house, and made it to the forest that led to Techno's cabin. I would say it was about 8 AM by now. Another hour later, I finally reach the cabins. I spot Techno and Philza standing outside of the cabins. As I get closer, Techno spots me.
