Chapter 28: Burns and Scars

Y/N's POV:

As soon as I came back from Philza's house after dropping off Paddles some more food, I made a plan. I already had planned out some things for the plan before. But after learning much more about the prison from the book Dream gave me, I had to make some changes. I spent the rest of the day making a list and collecting materials. They day after, I spent a good 3 hours mining. Then crafting tools and preparing a fire resistance potion with some stuff Techno let me keep back when I lived with them. When the moon was out, I took to the skies. I had located where the cell would have been. I landed on the roof and started mining down. As soon as I got 5 feet deep in obsidion, the alarm went off. I was so tired already, but I had to keep going, faster. After 10 minutes of this, I drank some milk to get rid of the mining fatigue. With out knowing how far done I was, I hit the lava. My skin burned as I quickly drank my fire resistance potion.

My body ached as I opened my eyes. I rubbed my eyes to see the lava was gone and someone was making their way towards me. I sat up, quickly feeling the burns on my legs and arms from yesturday.

"Y/N!" The person yelled. I quickly recongized the voice of Philza. Phil jumped of the platform before it even stopped and ran over to where I was. "Oh my god. Are you okay? What were you thinking!"

"Good to see you to." I say in a hoarse voice. "I'm fine. How is Techno? Did he make it back safely?"

"Don't worry about Techno. Look at yourself!" Phil yells. "You are covered in burns! Your wings are burned; half of your feathers are missng! And your in a prison! Why did you think this was a good idea!?"

"I did it because Dream deserved to be out of prison. He didn't deserve to be in here this long, at least not in my limbo."

"You could have at least told me the truth! Don't you stutter when you lie?"

"I didn't fully lie. I did go minig. And, it was over the communicator that I told you. And if I told you, you wouldn't let me do this. Now, you didn't answer my question."

Philza sighs and sits infront of me.

"Techno is fine. He came home and barged into my house. Luckily, I was still awake. I knew he was visiting the prison, but I had no idea you were there. I wanted to fly over as soon as I heard, but Techno insisted that I wait till morning."

"What time is it now?"

"Almost noon. I still can't believe you did this. How long are you in here for?"

"I'm not sure. But Sam said he will take good care of me. Can you still take care of Paddles?"

"Of course I will. I-"

"Sorry Phil! Time to get going!" Sam says. "We have another visitor coming soon!"

I struggle to stand up, yet manage. The burns on my legs sting as I hug Phil. He hugs me back.

"I'll visit you later today." Phil says. "I'll also make sure Sam gives you some health potions to help with the burns."

"Thank you." I say, letting go from the hug. "See ya later."

Phil doesn't bother taking the platform back, he just gets up and flys. I watch as the lava falls in place. Dream was right, it is hot in here. I didn't even notice there was a blanket and pillow in here. I didn't have time to last night because of how tired I was. 30 minutes pass until Sam gives me some cooked potatoes. At least I think. It's hard to tell time in here. More time passes before I hear a sound. I watch as the lava falls, revealing 3 people. Two of the people make it across the platform. I immediately recongize them. I step backwards in fear.
