A/N: Sorry for the long wait. I was busy with college and I couldn't muster up the strength nor find the time to write until today. Thank you for being so patient with me. Please read the warning below before beginning the chapter and for your convenience I have pasted the number to the sexual assault hotline here:

SEXUAL ASSAULT HOTLINE: 1-800-656.HOPE (4673) or 1-800-656-4673...

WARNING: Mentions of Torture and Rape. Ages below 18+ should tread carefully. Besides this, if you find the subject of sexual assault upsetting, know that I won't be going into detail about this, but it may still be hard to read. If you wish to skip all mentions of torture, pause when you reach the key word "guaranteed" and skip the next 18 paragraphs/sentences. Or if the subject matter is too upsetting to you, you can just skip this chapter and wait for me to post the continuation on the First Stitches chapter, or go to part 3 of this.

If you are still here, then you must be a brave soul indeed and I hope that you enjoy the good moments of this chapter, for there are more than you might think. Lastly, know that this is the longest chapter I have written for this series. Over 12k words. So I had to split it into two chapters, which I will be posting the 2nd part to this immediately.

You spent the next hour in Legolas's arms, allowing him to give you comfort and sooth away the hurt that had been done to you. But you knew fully well that the hurt would linger.

Though, you supposed you would feel better if the elf that took advantage of you payed. Oh yes, you had not thought of much else but ways the elf would suffer at the hands of the Elvenking. You were looking forward to witnessing the fear in his eyes as the sentence was read out. You recalled some of the punishments that were in practice in this realm.

Though elves did not employ the use of torture, there were still some severe ways in which Thranduil kept his people in line. Flogging was among them, though it was only done if a royal was purposely harmed. So sparing accidents were only given a harsh reprimand unless motive could be proven. For those convicted, either a normal whip or Birch branches were used, depending on the severity of the crime.

Another form of punishment was banishment, but this was reserved for traitors. The king had the option of banishing said elf from every elven realm not just the one, but this action was reserved for the worst offenders since being cut off from one of their own was worse than death..

The next form of punished was more psychological than physical. Within the Elvenking's Halls lied a dungeon located so deep in the vast caverns that no light could reach it. No elf could be kept from the light of the sun or the nature they so dearly loved, and adding an enclosed and confining cell of stone was enough to make any elf go mad, even a human. The unfortunate souls sent here were usually a great danger to others or the realm, and if their stay extended to weeks, they were moved to another room where some light shone and plant life was kept. This was to keep them from going mad.

The last form of punishment was sending the offender to be consigned either to the Mirkwood patrol or a garrison. Apparently this was considered by many to be worse than flogging, though you didn't know why. When you asked Legolas he didn't respond at first, apparently deep in thought, then the elf explained that a fear of death was not something that the Eldar had to face because they lived forever and could only die at the edge of a sword or from a broken heart.

That is why when an elf was faced with the possibility of their death, most froze in fear or ran. To prevent this from happening elves were trained at a very young age to temper themselves against that fear and condition their bodies to help prevent it. But if need be, to accept death with courage if there was no other choice.
