THE SUSPENSE was high in the Kappa house. Each girl sat around impatiently as they held their marbles. Chanel slowly turned the wooden box around the table, as each member placed in the marble of their choice.

They shared questioning looks with each other, after placing each marble in. Once all marbles had been placed in, Jennifer moved the box towards her and opened up the small draw.

"All right, so, remind me again. It's black for Zayday, and white for Chanel?" Jennifer double checked, Chanel rolled her eyes, "Obv. Do you think you can handle that? I only gave you the job of tallying votes because I thought you Rain Man types were super good at counting. Or are you one of those idiot savants, who's heavy on the idiot, light on the savant?" She spoke sarcastically.

"I am neither, thank you very much. Years before the psychoanalytic society of America decided there was money to be made by creating what they called the 'autism spectrum,' I would have been considered a daydreamer, or quirky, like a young Zooey Deschanel. I am not an idiot or a moron. I am simply a victim of my times." Jennifer ranted quickly.

Everyone stared at her bored and confused. Abby looked her up and down, "Are you aware your pants are on backwards?" Jennifer looked down and cringed. Chanel rolled her eyes, "Start counting the damn votes."

Jennifer started to pull out each marble, placing them into a glass container as she counted them. "Wait, what happens if it's a tie?" Grace questioned as Zayday sighed. "It's never happened before, but Kappa bylaws state the two of them would rule together." #3 explained.

Jennifer let out a sigh, cleaning out all the marbles after counting them. She looked around with a surprised expression, "It's a tie." Grace, Zayday and Abby squeal, hugging each other. "You did it! Well, sort of." Grace celebrated.

Chanel stared at them in shock, Zayday smiled at her, "I know it's not ideal, but I think you and I would make great co-presidents." Chanel scoffed at her, "What? No, I'm not gonna be co-president with a pledge. Farty McCandlewax clearly miscounted the votes."

Jennifer glared at her as Abby rolled her eyes, "Calm down, Chanel. It's not Farty's fault." Chanel looked at them in disbelief, "Then whose fault is it? It's not my fault that my pumpkin patch was canceled. It's not my fault some people didn't vote for me because they're too intimidated by my hotness."

Everyone shared looks as Chanel continued to rant, "It's not my fault that because someone is killing Kappas, I didn't have time to individually bribe each and every one of you to vote for me." Abby rolled her eyes, "Even with a bribe, I'd still vote for Zayday."

Chanel glared at her, "No! Clearly, there is only one person to blame for all of this. #5." #5 stared at her in shock, "Wait, what?" Chanel glared at her, "I hate all of you for letting me down tonight, but #5, I hate you the most."

The girls stared back and forth between Chanel and #5 in uttermost confusion. "I know it's on me that I chose idiots and weirdos to be my minions, but you are by far the most idiotic and the most weird." Chanel stood above #5, "And so, I blame you more than any of them for not finding a way to ensure I retained my presidency tonight."

Chanel spun on her heel and started to storm out, Zayday sighed, "Chanel, come on, let's talk this through." Chanel continued to walk, stomping her heels as she walked up the staircase, "No! I am never talking about anything ever again! I hate you all!" She screamed, leaving their sight.

Abby rolled her eyes slightly, "Overdramatic much?" Zayday and Grace nodded, while #3 and #5 stood up and went to go and console Chanel.

Zayday smiled as she clapped her hands together, celebrating, "This is going to be amazing! I can't wait to change this joint for the better." Abby and Grace nodded enthusiastically.

"It's going to finally become what it has always should've been. A home." Grace spoke, smiling. Abby tilted her head, shrugging, "Yeah. Yeah, let's make this place our home." The trio squealed as the others stared at them confused.

A few moments later, Chanel with #3 and #5 came back down. Grace, Zayday and Abby stood up, walking towards them as they all stopped at the small steps. Hester and Sam stood behind them, Jennifer stayed sitting.

"Whatever she says, do not give an inch. You're president now, too." Grace muttered to Zayday, who nodded. "Zayday, this is the key to the storage room, where we keep our tampon back stock in case of a nuclear war, and all of our secrets." Chanel spoke, walking closer.

Zayday, and the other two, looked at her skeptically. Chanel smiled, "It's the most holy room in the house and only the president had the key. I want you to have it." She held out a golden key on a chain.

Zayday looked at her confused, "What's your game here? I trust you about as far as I can throw you." Chanel shrugged, the key still held out, "No game. I may be a stone cold bitch, but I love Kappa, and I want it to survive these challenging times."

Zayday reached forward and took the key, holding it in her hands as she twirled it around, sceptical. "If you think you can do a better job then I can, then I say let's give the Zayday administration a chance."

Zayday smirked, Grace and Abby smiled at her proudly. "Sisters, and anyone else who might be listening, I present to you the acting president of Kappa Kappa Tau, Zayday...something!"

The Chanel's clapped as Zayday smirked, "Williams. But that'll do." Chanel smirked, nodding. Abby looked at her with squinted eyes, crossing her arms as she looked her up and down, she didn't trust her.
