CHAPTER FORTY
scream queens, scene forty
"ghost stories/forgive and forget"ABBY HUNG around in her room alone later that night, she went back and forth between things as she packed her bags, considering it was the last night on campus, and last night in Kappa.
The Chanel's and Denise hung around downstairs, Grace was packing in her room, and Zayday was packing in her room with the help of her boyfriend, Earl Grey.
She let out a small sigh, she was honestly saddened that it was the last night. She knew that it was partly her fault that the campus got shut down, but now that she quit the Red Devil team, she started to feel guilty.
She hasn't seen or spoken to Boone since yesterday, when Chanel #3 and her ran into him, and he faked being a ghost. She struggled with the feeling of regret, she could not decide in what she fault for what she caused, with the murders, and Boone.
She was currently packing away her beauty products, placing them neatly in a small suitcase as she hummed took the music she played. "Thunder only happens when it's raining. Players only love you when they're playing."
She softly sung to the tune of Fleetwood Mac's 'Dreams' as she gently swayed around, immersing herself into the music. "Say woman, they will come and they will go. When the rain washes you clean, you'll know, you'll know."
She jumped as she stopped singing, the sound of metal scaring her, turning to look at her window. A top of a ladder appeared on her windowsill, followed by a familiar head and a bunch of flowers.
She furrowed her eyebrows as Boone climbed into her room, dressed up fancy as he held a bouquet of roses in his hand. Abby crossed her arms as she looked at him, "Boone? What're you doing here?"
"I came here to apologise, and to tell you that I love you." He spoke, staying near the window as he stared at her apologetically. Abby sighed, "I told you, Boone. I'm not forgiving you that easily."
Boone frowned as Abby looked him up and down, "Nice shirt, by the way." She spoke sarcastically. He slightly smiled at her, "Thank you. You know what it's made out of?"
"What?" She asked, looking at him skeptically. He smirked, "Boyfriend material." Abby scoffed, shaking her head with a small sigh, "That was terrible."
Boone smiled at her, moving closer, "It was worth a shot, wasn't it?" She stared at him, he continued to move towards her until they were face to face. "These are for you." He handed her the roses.
She grabbed them, looking at them with a soft smile, "They're beautiful." He smiled at her in adoration, "Not as beautiful as you." She looked up at him with a frown, sighing as she gently placed the flowers on the bed.
"Listen, Boone. You can't just come and sneak into my room, and make me try and forgive you, that's not how it works." She stole him sternly, looking at him with a frown. He sighed, "I know, but, I just feel so terrible about yesterday. I shouldn't try and force you to be something you don't want to be, it's not right, I understand that now."
Abby sighed, looking at him, "I'm not going back. Jennifer was the last victim for me. I can't keep pretending that I'm not a murderer, Boone. I can't."
He brushed her hair behind her ear, resting his hand on her cheek, "Baby, you don't need to pretend anymore. If you're out, then you're out, I get it. I just don't want to lose you." She stared at him with glossy eyes.
"Boone, I- I can't, not now, at least. I don't want to risk anything else, I'm already screwed up. I don't want to end up like my mom." She softly cried, looking at him with sadness.
"Oh honey, you're not your mom. She had her own battles, and now she's going to get help for them, but you are so much better than that. You understand what's going on, and you don't let it define you as person." He spoke with reassurance.
"I can't live like this anymore, Boone. I'm just...I'm just going to take my time, okay? And with no distractions, which includes being with you." She told him sternly, Boone stepped back, looking at her sadly.
Before Boone could say anything more, another voice interrupted them, "Hey baby girl, could I borrow some-" The two of them whipped around to see Zayday standing there.
"Boone?" Zayday shouted, she stepped forward. Zayday looked at Abby, "What's going on here?" Abby looked between the two of them, spluttering about with worry in her eyes.
"I, uh, you see, um..." She hurriedly spoke, stepping back as Boone looked at her. "I'm a ghost, and I've come back to seduce Abby, so I can walk this earth again." Boone cut in, explaining with a smile.
Zayday and Abby shared looks, "There's just one problem. I don't believe in ghosts." Boone nervously chuckled, stepping back, "Well, then how do you explain me being here then?"
"You faked your death." Zayday spat, staring at him. Boone looked at her taken aback as another voice made itself known, "Hey, Abby, have you seen my-" Grace walked in and gasped, "Oh, my god. Boone?"
"Boone is in here trying to seduce Abby with the oldest line in the book. He says he's a ghost." Zayday explained, looking at Abby and Grace.
Grace walked forward, "Of course, this all makes sense, of course you'd fake your own death so no one would suspect you." Abby widened her eyes, standing in between the two girls as Boone looked between them worried.
"Are you trying to say that I'm the Red Devil killer? Because that's insane." He spoke nervously, moving back as Zayday and Grace slowly walked closer. Abby stood back, covering her mouth in worry.
"We all know how you got this fork mark on your hand!" Zayday grabbed his hand, where a scar of a fork stab was placed on the back of his hand, "From when Abby stabbed you in your evil lair!"
Boone looked at Abby, and she looked back at him with concern. "You're coming with us!" Zayday and Grace grabbed his arms, trying to pull him as he resisted.
They kept trying to pull him forward, but he managed to get out of their grips. He fell back out the window, a loud sound of him hitting the concrete echoed. Abby covered her mouth in horror, running to the window.
"Boone!" She screamed, looking down as Zayday and Grace stood on either side of her. Boone was nowhere in sight, and no evidence of him hitting the concrete was there either.
Abby stepped back, feeling tears well up in her eyes as she kept her mouth covered, "Oh, my god." Zayday and Grace turned to her, looking at her worried. "Honey, are you okay? He didn't hurt you?" Zayday hurriedly asked.
She shook her head, "No, he would never hurt me." Grace stepped forward, looking at her questionably, "Did you know he was alive? And the Red Devil?" Abby immediately shook her head, "No! I didn't. I saw his dead body. I had no idea."
Zayday leant forward and hugged her, "I'm so sorry, baby. This must be so hard for you to find out." Abby frowned, hugging her back as she slightly nodded. She squeezed her eyes tightly, her mind going crazy as she realised she was in deep shit.
