Chapter 7: Trouble Times Two Pt.2

"Good Afternoon Alexis." He said in one of the coldest tones I have ever heard.

Crap I completely forgot about what Ezra would have to say about today. Maybe I can convince him that today was just a mistake and a one-time thing, he may go easy on me.

But I do know that all of that is just wishful thinking and the one thing that I have learned about this man is going easy is definitely not a part of his dictionary but it wouldn't hurt to try.

"Before you say anything, I am so sorry for today." I said with my best 'I feel guilty' expression.

"Glad you know what you did wrong, would you mind sharing your wrongdoings with me?" he said in the same cold tone but sounding a little amused.

I hate when he asks me that, if I miss something he is going to point that out and state maybe I don't feel guilty enough and if I say anything which is more than what he knows then I just made more trouble for myself.

"Umm... I was truant, disrespectful and disrupted the class" I said quoting Mrs Hellford, again omitting the stink bomb, Josh and I had thrown in her classroom after lunch, I smiled to myself recalling her expression and obviously, it didn't go unnoticed by Ezra like he is literally one of the most observant people I know.

"Is something funny Ms Kingston?" He said his voice dropping a few octaves.

"No sir," I said quickly trying to avoid digging a bigger hole for myself.

" That's what I thought. Now let's get this over with Alex." He said motioning me to come closer to him.

"Ezra I feel really bad and I promise it won't be repeated can we please just skip it just this time," I said pleading with him

"Alex you have promised me the same thing quite a few times and I don't think that I can let it go unpunished anymore. Now come over before I have to come to get you." He said in a disappointed tone which I don't even know but killed me.

I just accepted my fate and went towards him, as soon as I was within his reach he pulled me over his lap and started spanking me.

"You know that SMACK SMACK this type of behaviour SMACK SMACK is completely unacceptable SMACK SMACK you were doing so good past few weeks SMACK SMACK what happened today?."

"umm.. nothing?" I said cause what could I have said that I met my brother after a long time and we decided to drink till late and that's why I came late and oh yes the attitude was because the hangover is an absolute bitch. Yeah, cause then he might actually have just killed me.

"Alexis Kingston," he said in a threatening tone while he reached for the paddle and started hitting harder than before.

And that was all it took for the dams in my eyes to start again. It just hurt so much that I don't think I can take it much longer.

"Really Ezra its just that my cousin who I haven't seen in a long time came back and I may have got a little bit carried away with excitement," I said while sobbing and my voice definitely breaking in between but he finally stopped and let me up and hugged me to calm me down.

"That's not an excuse for behaving that way you did all day today and you know that," he said with a strict but soft tone.

"Yes Sir," I said putting my head deeper in his shoulder wishing we could just get over this already.

"And young lady why am I just hearing about this troublesome cousin of yours joining the school just today?" He asked in his usual amused tone without any coldness with meant that I was forgiven.

"I wanted to surprise you?" I said in phrasing it as more of a question than a statement.

"That's why you were so excited these last few days right. You should have just told me and I would have warned you about the consequences of exactly this type of behaviour and we could've avoided this conversation altogether. Don't you think that would have been a better situation?" He said in the same amused tone.

"I'll keep that in mind next time," I told him while getting up from his lap.

"Can I go now? I want to meet Josh before basketball practice" I asked him standing near my seat with no intention of sitting down anytime soon.

"Mike told me about his report today too, I don't think you could meet him anyway so why don't you just sit down and complete your homework," he said clearing enjoying my misery but not in a bad way.

"Um I'd rather not, can I just go hang out at the court then?" I asked hoping he would agree cause sitting was the last thing I wanted to do right now.

"It wasn't a suggestion, Alexis." He said throwing water on all my Hopes of leaving.

I huffed and sat down but not before glaring at him and wincing as I sat down.
