Asha's POV:
My eyes shoot open and I sit up quickly. Another nightmare. Ever since Corey tried to rape me I've been having horrible nightmares.

The only reason he hadn't managed to to do it was because my dad walked in and stopped it. He made the smart decision of leaving and moving to London.

I carefully get out of bed and then quietly make my way downstairs. I make sure not to wake my dad up. Aadi is a heavy sleeper so I don't have to worry about waking him.

As I walk into the living room I can see Aadi sat on the couch. He is scrolling on his phone. He must have noticed my presence because he looked up from his phone and sent me a smile. I sent one back. I went over and sat down next to him.

"What are you doing up?" I ask as he puts his phone down to talk to me.

"Can't sleep, you?" He asks. I slightly freeze. No one knows about my nightmares. I just don't want to bother anyone.

"Uh y-ye same." I mentally curse myself for stuttering.

Aadi gives me a concerned look. Oh god. Now he is gonna question me. Please don't question me. I'm silently begging that he will just move on.

"Alright, speak to me. What's up?" He asks.

"Oh nothing. I don't know what your talking about." I say as I try to stand up.

As I go to stand I feel a hand on my wrist. I am then pulled back down on to the couch. I turn my head to look back at Aadi. He removes his hand from my wrist before speaking.

"Asha, I'm your twin brother so I'm allowed to say this. You are the worst liar on planet earth. I know something is going on in that head of yours and I want to help you with it." He gives me a look that tells me I can't get out of this.

"I had a nightmare that's all." I mutter quietly but he still heard me.

"About Corey?" He asks.

Yes he knows what Corey did. I allowed my dad to tell him after he walked in on me crying after it.

Silent tears start to fall down my face and I look down, hoping Aadi wouldn't see. Unfortunately he does. I feel myself being pulled into a hug.

"You're okay. You're safe now and he can't hurt you again. It's ok to be scared and I will help you through it." He says in a soothing voice.

"I just don't understand. It's like he is ruining my life without being here. It's so frustrating." I feel like screaming but I don't for the sake of keeping my dad asleep.

I am no longer crying but I am still hugging Aadi. We stay like that for a bit before I finally pull back.

"Look you are always gonna have your struggles but I will always be here to help you through them. It's what brothers are for." Aadi says.

I laugh lightly before responding.

"Thank you. Same for you." He gives my shoulder a light squeeze before picking up his phone and goes back to scrolling. I get up to go back to bed.

"Goodnight." I say.

"You too."
