Infected: Chapter XV
Jess is nice, I like her, I think John likes Kate too. I think Jess might fancy me too. I smirk at the thought, I was such an opposite to John before the disaster, he was shy, a bit of a loner. Whereas I was the player, I've never not had a girlfriend for more than a couple of weeks. I have had my arm over Jess's shoulder way before John. I have unsheathed my bat just in case, and I am dragging it across the ground, almost sharpening it, Jess sees me carrying it, "That all you use?" she asks quizzically, "Pretty much, except for this," I point to my mouth and snap my jaw, she laughs hysterically, "Whatcha mean?" she asks in between giggles, I smile and answer,
"Well, I got infected, soo..." I look at her, she is hanging onto my every word,
"John taught me to be human, well relatively human, but...." I look at Jess's pale white face and emerald green eyes again, oh my god she is so beautiful. Jess is still hanging onto my words, "I have to eat zombies...to sustain my everlasting hunger...?" I finish, she looks at me questionably then bursts out laughing,"Oh my god, thats so cool!" she says, grinning from ear to ear. She slowly stops laughing as I smirk, "Thats the coolest thing ever.." Jess says to me. Great! I say in my head. "What weapons do you use?" I ask her in return, she smiles then grabs an old book bag from her back and pulls out, A NAIL GUN!?! My eyes burst out on stalks, she sniggers then states the obvious, "A nail gun..." she says, I am still in shock,
"Why the hell didn't I think of that...!" I whisper in annoyance to myself, Jess is still smirking like she just found gold, "Ohh so that's what you killed the metal zombie with....." I nod understandingly,
"You are beautiful you know that?" I ask her, trying to get a good balance between player and nice guy.
"Yea...." She slowly whispers, she closes her eyes in happiness,
"I like you...." She says to me in return, BOO-YAH!
I hug her tighter and lean in for the take before we are interrupted by a BLOOD-CURDLING SCREAM!!
