Infected: Chapter XIII

I'm tied up in a chair in the shadows of the aisle, the freaky hybrid is gone, the thing has walked away, I hear John swear. Oh no, the thing has gone for John. I go into panic mode and try to wriggle out of these bonds. I'm suprised the zombie had the brains to tie this! As I am wriggling I see John walk into the light, he has grabbed my pole, he's trying to saw off the arm, it's not working! I wriggle even harder, attempting to bite through the rope. I hear something whistle past my ear, WHOOSH! I see ahead of me and it's a-a an electric-blue bloody crowbar!? I can tell by the colour that this crowbar has been through alot. I look behind me but I can't see anything, I try to struggle out again, nothing. I look behind me again, hopefully not baseball bat throwing zombies. But I see a girl about my age with some sort of.... Tommy gun?! She aims at the flesh side of the two-face zombie and sprays bullets, John sees the girl and hits the dirt. A girl Joh'ns age walks up and removes my gag and unties me. "Thankyou!" I say abruptly. I run up to John alongside this girl, grabbing my baseball bat. I step over the zombie and spray the brains of this creature all over the ground. John is on the ground whimpering, he sees the pretty girl his age and stands up quickly, dusting himself off, "Uh hi! I'm John!" John says awkwardly, he never talked to girls, even before they were zombies. The girl looks at him questionably, so the small girl and I laugh. "You know... I was using the old 'pretend to be really scared technique!" John says, still blushing like a red apple. "I'm Finnick, I'm a zombie." I whisper to the girl next to me,

"Jess... not a zombie..." she says laughingly, and then we both grin. We turn our attention back to John and his extremely awkward situation. "Well, I'm Kate, and this is Jess" Kate says, pointing to Jess. This will be fun from now on...
