Chapter 11: The Attack

Naricelissa was really happy that morning.  She was in the forest as usual from her meetings with His Highness.  She also went there every day to do it on her own.

She thought that maybe her brother actually cared about her.  He acted a certain way that made her feel something she haven't felt in awhile.  Her brother also told about what was happening in the castle.  Naricelissa couldn't believe what the reedins were doing, it made her upset.  She wanted to march up to the castle and just end them.  Why did the reedins get to manage the royal's lifestyle?  It did not make any sense to the girl.

Naricelissa widen her eyes when she saw three familiar figures.  It was her brother, the prince, and the princess.  She was surprised and couldn't believe that prince Niderudion actually took her advice.

A darkened one spotted the three and grinned.  He thought it was going to be his lucky day.  He hushed his two darkened friends and grinned.

"Stop right there!" He picked up his weapon and glared.

Another dark soul turned to them, "I know what you are," He laughed.  "You are the ones who are always trying to stop us."

The third darkened one put his hands on his hips and started laughing, "Not anymore though!"

The prince grins at the darkened one, "Oh really?" He looked amused, "I bet you are just a weakling without even knowing how to fight properly.  How pitiful!" He laughed.

His words angered them.

The main one stepped up furrowing his eyebrows, "No, we aren't!  Listen, I'll show you what happens to people that mess with us." He roared motioning his buddies to come join him.

The royal knight looked amused.  He shook his head laughing, "Pff... You think you will win this?  I thought you were so weak that you got your dear friends, the reedins to do the real work while you are left with the dirty work." Nakosir shook his head back, "Ha!  I'd love to see you try and even get a stab at me."

The darkened one's second buddy stepped up, "I'll do it!" He raised his hands to show off,  "I'll do it with one hand too."

The prince pretended to look scared, "Oooh, I'm so scared!" He baffled, "Jeez what a bunch of idiots.  We've been doing this for years and someday all of you will be gone and in peace.  There will be no more reedins haunting you and you can finally live your lives without darkness."  His highness aimed his sword and shot it straight into the middle one.  He widen his eyes as the sword pierced and caused the life to be sucked out of him.

The main one and the third one widen their eyes at the impact of the sword.
