The Goth Boy

Chapter 8

My blood raced through my veins so fast I was sure I was going to pass out at any second. I was waiting for Cole, and not for him to beat me up. At least I hoped not, he did promise.

Then again it is Cole we're talking about here and by we're I mean me and my mind. Was it all just a prank and he was just planning on beating me up in front of a huge crowd?

The last bell rang ten minutes ago and buses were just about to leave. Did he forget? Would I be glad if he did?

I looked around watching the buses leave. I saw his car in the student parking lot still, so at least I know he hasn't left yet. I sat on one of the benches that were outside the school. It was cold on my butt giving me goosebumps.

"Hey sorry, ready to go?" Cole sprung out of nowhere. Was that a good mood he had?

"Sure," I muttered standing up following behind him to his car. I couldn't help but let my eyes slip to his butt. His voice caught my attention and I blushed at thought of him catching me looking.

"I'm sorry about earlier by the way." He said hopping into the driver's seat. His car was so nice and new. His leather seats were to die for and the red paint was sharp.

"It's cool, I guess." I sat in the passenger seat buckling myself in. I've never been in a car alone with Cole. He was being surprisingly nice...why?

"I dumped milk on your head and you're saying its cool?" He chuckled holding onto my seat to pull out of the spot. I bit my lip nervously, playing with my fingers.

I shrugged looking out the window. I could feel his gaze on me which made me slightly uncomfortable.

"You don't talk much." He mumbled, taking a right out of the school.

"You talk too much." I accidentally spoke my mind. Not that I didn't like his voice, I loved it. I just wasn't used to him being so nice to me. Was this deal the best thing that ever happened to me?

"Ahh, there we go." He grinned glancing over at me. I rolled my eyes deciding to look at him instead of my window.

"Look I know we got on some bad terms but I'm sorry." He said turning up the radio to fill the awkwardness. Don't fall for it Shane, he's only saying it cause he wants to pass. I'm sure he'll beat you up the day after report cards come out.

"Come on say something mean, something you've always wanted to tell me but you're too scared I'd beat you up." He pushed turning into his neighborhood.

Um, well for starters, you're so attractive it should be illegal. Another one would be that I have a major crush on you even though you beat me daily. I stared out the window ignoring his request, he sighed.

"Alright well, we're here." He said awkwardly shutting off his car. I stepped out following behind him into his house. It felt weird like I was dreaming. Cole was allowing me to walk behind him, he invited me into his house. He's being nice to me. What happened to him, maybe he got hypnotized by aliens last night. I thought I saw something freaky in the sky.

"Hey Shane," Zoe called from the living room. I smiled at her, she saw Cole and her smile faded into a confused face. I gave her a look that said I'll tell her later. She nodded winking at me. I rolled my eyes following Cole up the stairs.

Out of all the times I've been here I've never once stepped foot in Coles room, never even seen it. It was like forbidden territory.

He opened the door to a somewhat messy, normal teenage boys room. What I didn't expect, well I guess I'd expect it but I didn't want to actually see it, was the posters of naked women on his walls. Eww, naked girls. I shifted my eyes away fast watching him try to tidy up his room a little.
