Chapter Seven

John put Allison into a holding cell. Chris, Isaac, Peter, Jackson, and Derek was standing behind him.

"You want to tell me why she's being arrested now?" Chris asked.

John sighed and turned around to face the man. "Gerard kidnapped my son, apparently he thought Stiles knew where Derek was." John looked to Derek then back to Argent. "But he didn't, no one knew. Allison admitted to Scott, Pete, and myself that she knew what Gerard was doing. That makes her an accomplice to Stiles' kidnapping." The sheriff explained.

"And what about Gerard? Derek killed him correct?" Chris asked them all.

Peter nodded, "Yes. He did. He was going to kill Stiles, Derek protected his- his pack mate."

Chris nodded taking this information in, then he looked to his daughter. "Anything you want to add, Allison?"

"Nope." She said popping the 'p'. "That about explains it." She said smiling.

"Do you not feel bad for what you did?" Chris asked. "He's only human, Allison. I thought we talked about not hurting those who does no harm."

Allison rolled her eyes."Derek killed my mother, your wife, and Kate. Gerard and I both wanted to hurt Derek. So, if that means Stiles had to die in order to accomplish that - then so be it." Allison said smirking.

Chris sighed, rubbing a hand done his face, "I'm not paying your bond, Allison. You're too far past saving, just like Gerard." And with that Chris started walking away.

"So you're just going to leave me here? You're going to side with werewolves!" Allison yelled. But Chris didn't stop, he kept walking until he made it to his SUV and punched it a few times. He's lost everyone, and now his own daughter was too far past saving thanks to his psycho father.

Derek followed Argent outside, "I'm sorry, Chris. I wouldn't of killed Gerard if there was another choice."

Chris stayed silent.

"Stiles is my mate." Derek continued. "And well, you know what happens when a wolf's mate is in danger."

Chris looked up to Derek, meeting his eyes, and smiled. "I'm not mad at you or anyone for what happened to Gerard. I knew one day he would get himself killed. And Allison made her bed. I'm happy you finally found your mate, you deserve it, Derek. You've changed since you left Beacon Hills, I can see that. But so has Stiles, be patient with him."

Derek nodded, "thanks, Chris."

"How's Stiles, anyways?"

"He's fine, he is still in the hospital, he lost a lot blood." Derek explains.

"How long have you been awake?" Melissa asked.

"Just for a few minutes." Stiles told her.

"How are you feeling, sweetie? Any pain?"

"Just a little bit."

"Here, let me." Erica sat on the side of Stiles' bed and took his hand in hers and started draining the pain.

Stiles sighed happily. "Thanks, cat-woman."

"Any time batman." Erica smiled. Tears starting to form in her eyes.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Stiles asked confused.

"We- we almost lost you, Stiles." Erica was fully crying now.

Stiles sat up, and brought Erica into his arms, "but you didn't, I'm right here."

Erica put her head in stiles neck and cried while Stiles rubbed her back, when she was done she sat up and wiped her eyes, "we tried, Stiles. We tried - Liam and I tried to tell him you was in danger, but he wouldn't listen."

"It's okay, I believe you. Scott can be an idiot sometimes. I don't blame you or Liam."

"She didn't say who." Liam told Stiles confused .

"Gerard told me he had Allison distracting Scott I knew I was going to die there, I was ready to die, until you guys saved me. I could've sworn I saw Derek too. But I guess I was hallucinating from the blood loss."

"What If it wasn't an hallucination?" Derek asked shyly coming in the door.

"Derek?" Stiles asked confused. "Why are you here?"

"Saving your ass, again." Derek said with a smirk.

"Oh, the wolf has jokes now." Stiles said with his own Smile.

"Come on guys. Lets give Derek and Stiles a moment." Melissa said whipping her eyes.

The betas nodded and left the room.

"So you wasn't a hallucination." Stiles said to the older man. "How did you know I was in trouble?"

"No one took me out of the pack group chat when I left. I also just had a bad feeling something was wrong back here, I was shifted in my full wolf form for months. I shifted back and saw that Scott texted the group chat you were missing." Derek explained.

"Wow, I don't think I've heard you talk so much at once." Stiles said chuckling. "But thanks for saving my ass, again."

Derek nodded, "so I'm guessing you know about Scott and Allison?"

"I know Scott wasn't looking for me. I know Gerard had Allison distract Scott so he wouldn't look for me. Is there anything else I need to know?"

"Your dad just arrested Allison for knowing Gerard kidnaped you and didn't tell anyone. Chris isn't going to bond her out, Scott may get mad about that, especially if she goes to jail." Derek told the boy.

Stiles nodded taking in this information. "I can handle Scott."

Derek smiled, he knows if anyone can handle Scott, it would be Stiles. "I have to go see Deaton but I'll be back later, okay?"

"Okay, sour wolf."

Derek rolled his eye at the old nickname, there's no sway he's admitting he missed it. "I'll have the Beats come back in even though there listening to us right now."

"Shit." Erica mumbled.

Boyd chuckled at his girlfriend.

"Of course they are." Stiles laughed. "See ya later, Der. I'm going back to sleep."

And with that Derek covered Stiles back up and left.

"Ah, Mr. Hale what can I do for you? " Deaton asked when he walked in the vet clinic.

"Since your Scott's emissary I wanted to let you know I was back in town." Derek said flashing his red eyes.

"Oh, and you're an alpha again?" Deaton asked.

Derek nodded, "when I evolved my eyes changed from blue to red. I was hoping you'd know why."

"Hmm, unfortunately I don't know why." Deaton paused for a moment, "but it is most likely because you can fully shift into a wolf like your mother, Talia." Derek didn't say anything so Deaton continued, "the reason you are now able to transform into a full wolf is because you realized who your mate is, and that bond has gotten stronger, isn't that right Derek?"

"Yes, it's Stiles, I've known for awhile now." Derek answered.

"What?!" Scott yelled in the back of the clinic; coming to the front with Deaton and Derek.
