Chapter Eight

"What?!" Scott yelled in the back of the clinic, coming to the front with Deaton and Derek.

"Stiles is my mate, problem McCall?" Derek asked.

"Yes! Yes that's a problem!" Scott shouted.

"I'm going to ask you boys to take this conversation outside." Deaton told them - then went back to his office.

Derek nodded and walked out, Scott right behind him.

"What are you even still doing here, Derek? What do you want?" Scott asked angrily.

"I'm here because Stiles was in danger he was almost killed, yet you didn't even notice. As long as you have Alison, right Scott? You don't deserve the title "true alpha." You can't even take care of your pack!" Derek growled. "And I want Stiles. That's why I'm still here. You know he's my mate."

"He would never  leave my pack for yours! You're delusional! I thought Peter was lying!" Scott yelled.

"We'll see about that, Scott." Derek spat. "By the way, you should know Allison was arrested." And with that Derek walked over to his car, started her up and sped out of the vets parking lot.

"Sheriff?" Derek asked when he answered his phone.

"Hey, Derek. I just wanted you to know Stiles is home. The whole pack is here right now with him. I have to get back to work." John told the man.

Derek nodded, realizing the sheriff couldn't see him he replied, "Okay, I'm on my way." And with that the sheriff hung up.

Derek was going to go to the preserve and run after his encounter with McCall but he figured it could wait.

Everyone is in Stiles' bedroom with him. Glad and happy their friend is going to be okay.

"I really am sorry, Stiles. Scott ordered me in his alpha voice. I had no choice." Liam told the boy.

"Come here." Stiles said with wide open arms. Liam nodded and did as he was told. Liam hugged Stiles like he would disappear if he let go. "I don't blame you or anyone for what happened, you guys didn't know what was going to go down, Okay? The important thing is that I'm here and I'm fine."

Liam nodded against Stiles chest, burring his face there, his tears staining Stiles' grey shirt. Stiles held him for a moment, rubbing soothing circles on the young betas back.

Jackson was the next to speak up, "I- I was a dick to you, Stilinski. I'm sorry for that. I had no right to tell you to move on it was hard on everyone when Derek left, especially me, seeing as he was my alpha then just left. But that didn't give me a right to say those things I did. If I knew you were actually missing I would of looked sooner."

Stiles sent Jackson a smile, "I know how hard that was for you to say, so thank you. I forgive you, Jax."

Jackson sent Stiles a small smile back and nodded.

"Now, I need to talk to Stiles in private, so make yourselves scarce." Lydia told the group.

Everyone nodded Jackson rolled his eyes.

When everyone was gone Lydia sat beside Stiles on his bed, "So how do you feel about Derek being back?" She asked.

Stiles didn't say anything for a moment, but then answered "I- I don't know. I mean I'm glad he's back, but I cant help but think when he's going to leave again." Stiles said in a small voice.
