This is from a list of ideas I created during school-

Stowaway Tommy and Pirate SBI

I've had to stop myself from posting this early so many times- I had to get someone else to make the decision for me and I waited until I had another prompt close to finished before posting-

Random and useless fact- whenever I start writing a prompt in Google docs I have a name idea then 'SBI'- so if someone looked through my Google docs they would just see 62 docs saying 'SBI' right next to it, and loads of random ones.

The first show for school is over, there's another today. It went better than expected- I just have to leave rehearsal early for it

Prompt:

The Syndicate are the most feared pirates on the seas, feared by both land dwellers and other crews.

When Tommy was trying to escape from Dream, he didn't really pay attention to what ship he jumped on. It was only a few hours after the ship took sail for him to realize who's ship it was, and by then it was too late to jump off.

Tommy has a hard time hiding on the ship during the day, usually staying in between barrels, and if he needs to sleep or is having a hard time hiding he hides in an old empty barrel.
At night he goes up on deck and looks out at the sea, trying to spot land or find another ship to go to instead.

The Captains knew there was a stowaway on board. Sometimes it gets stressful and looking at the ocean in the quiet of the night helps them calm down and focus. They easily spotted the stowaway on the ship when they were on the deck too.

They never pointed it out though, finding it entertaining to see how easily the kid hid on the ship and wasn't found. Plus they sometimes could tell where they were hiding and planned to look over those spots on future journeys for stowaways or spies (it's happened before).

A week from when the journey was to end the captains had a meeting to decide what to do with the stowaway. It was long overdue because none of them knew what to do. They didn't want to throw him overboard or hurt him, but they couldn't just let him go free, it would make people think it's easy to hide on their ships. Plus, he could be forced to say what he saw on the ship and that's not good. So, they decided to keep him.

The night before they were to reach land they all went up on deck. The boy stood there looking out at the ocean holding a stuffed cow. He said "Where finally going to be safe Henry" to the cow, who is now known as Henry.

The pirates watched as the boy went down under deck and quickly followed him. They saw what barrels he hid behind before leaving to check back later when he was asleep.

It was early morning when they went below decks again. It was nearly morning, but the sky was awake, and SBI were awake, so time to kidnap! (Lol)

They just pulled the sleeping boy out of the barrel and put him on a bed, locking the door behind them as they left the stowaway alone.

Tommy woke up in a soft bed-... wait a second... that's not right- he fell asleep in a barrel- he shouldn't be in a bed- Tommy quickly sat up and scanned his surroundings. Then he realized he was either dreaming or he was caught- but if he was caught he would be killed or in a cell... so why was he here?

He tried to break down the door for a solid minute before giving up and laying on the bed and staring at the ceiling, questioning reality and every decision he made in his life, and wondered if potential freedom was worth this? Being trapped in a random room with an unknown fate?

His thoughts stopped when he heard the creek of the door and three pairs of footsteps walking into the room. He glanced at the figures before quickly sitting up after realizing they're the captains.

The captains seemed happy that he was awake, and explained that they weren't going to hurt him. If he was any other stowaway, they would, but he was different.

Tommy was so confused- how was he different? Why wasn't he dead-?!

The captains just smiled before walking out of the room to leave the -Prisoner? Stowaway? Surprise adopted teen??- alone in the room with his fate in their hands.

And only they know that the boy will become one of their family.
