God's the author of my future
He's going to help me onwards
To take the next small step
To be a kinder, wiser, calmer,
Happier, more resilient person.
I have so many weaknesses
Which is why I rely on him;
Even in the tough times,
Even when I don't see it,
He's making something beautiful.
Therefore I will not boast in my strength
But in his immeasurable strength
And in his love that by some miracle
Decides to love a wreck like me
In spite of my sins and selfishness.
Nothing in life is certain, except for one:
God will always be faithful and loving.
He knows that we're broken, that we
Blame each other and hurt each other,
Yet he still somehow loves us.
