A huge upside of Ashlyn and Big Red's relationship becoming known was they now gladly could attend every event together. He used to come along, just not nearly as often as he now would.

Ashlyn often went to plenty of events, big and small. Now that they were back in LA and participating, Ashlyn asked him along.

They attended her first event now that she was back. There was polite conversation, but it got uncomfortable from time to time. Ashlyn could sense her boyfriend's nerves.

"That sounds great." Ashlyn smiled at one of the many celebrities she had talked to that night. "We've actually gotta catch up with someone else, if that's alright. Pretty busy." As he replied with a goodbye, one which the couple returned, they walked away.

"Babe, after tonight people should be used to you. They won't ask as much. But I get it. This is weird." Ashlyn explained.

"It is." He agreed.

"I'm sorry. Kinda wish we had a bit more peace."

"No, this is amazing. I mean, you just have conversations with celebrities? I've always know that, it's just so cool."

"Yeah, it is. There's huge upsides to all this." She smiled, admiring the scene before them.

"Want a drink?"

"Oh, sure, thanks." She waited for him to come back. Someone she knew, but wasn't very close with, came over. "Oh, hey!"

"Hey. That's your boyfriend?" He pointed towards Big Red.

"Yeah. But maybe don't mention that to him." She chuckled. "He's a bit overwhelmed."

"I get that."

"You have a boyfriend?"

"Nope, not right now."

"Eh, you'll find someone." Ashlyn smiled.

"So you guys just laid low?"

"Yeah. I mean, it was super hard, but yeah. We've been together since my sophomore year."

"College?"

"No, high school actually. We got really lucky." She noticed Big Red coming back and smiled towards him.

"Hey." He waved, handing her her drink and holding his own in his hand.

"Thanks." She put her arm around him. "We should grab something to eat sometime." She offered to her almost-friend.

"Sounds great. I gotta go right now, so sorry."

"Bye!" They both waved.

"Hey, babe, let's sit." Ashlyn suggested. "These heels are killing me."

"Why'd you wear them?"

"If only I knew." She joked, sitting down at a nearby table. "They matched, they looked nice. I didn't expect to walk so much."

"Well, you look stunning."

"You don't look bad yourself, hon." She grinned. "Seriously, like, wear that at our wedding."

"It's like 5 years old and it's got a stain."

"Okay, maybe don't get married in it." She stuck her tongue out. "You just look good."

"I'm really hot." He joked.

"I mean, to me... but I'm biased." She laughed. "Also, screw being hot. You're sweet."

"So I'm not attractive?" He pouted.

"I just said you're hot. You're really cute too. And handsome. But, also, you're super sweet and funny and—" she was cut off by a kiss.

"I'm joking Ash."

"I am too. But you're all those things." She smiled. "Anyways..." she took a sip of her wine. "Wanna head out soon?" He nodded. "Good. I think I've got some inspiration, finally."

"For a song?"

"Yeah." She beamed. "It's a love song."

"I've swayed you."

"Shut up." She giggled. "Write what you know, right?"

"Yep. So... can I have any sort of hint?"

"I have like one lyric."

"Yes?"

"I'm not telling you. I don't even know." She laughed. "But you'll be the first, or depending on co-writing maybe second or third, to hear it. As always."

"Fine." He faked a pout. "No, but that's really great Ash. Getting back into routine. And also your songs are, like... I'm in love with them?"

"Hey. That's cheating." She laughed.

"I'm still in love with you." He laughed. "It's different. I don't wanna marry your songs. I just love them."

"Mkay. You're forgiven." She giggled. "I'm gonna call an Uber." She told him.

"Alright."

When they arrived home, they each quickly changed out of their outfits. Ashlyn simply wore pajama pants and a flannel of his. Big Red wore shorts, but lacked a shirt.

Ashlyn sat down to write her song. She hummed as she tried to figure out a melody. Big Red found it amazing how her mind worked.

"Babe?" She broke the silence.

"Yep?"

"You're not gonna do something while I sit here?"

"I'm tired. You're humming's really nice. I don't know, I just like our silence." He shrugged. "And I understand that you need it."

"Thanks. And another thanks, because I think that whole silence thing is song level romantic?"

"How come?"

"Like... it's a silence that only comes when two people understand each other."

"That's a lyric right there."

"Thanks." She smiled and turned back to her paper, suddenly beginning to attempt and work out a song structure.

Big Red fell asleep before Ashlyn. She would have loved to sleep beside him, cuddled in his embrace, but she worked so long that when she finally fell asleep it was on her desk (which Big Red made sure to take pictures of the next morning. He found it adorable).

A/N: the lyric Ashlyn had come up with was quoted from peace by Taylor Swift. Following quotes when Ashlyn talks about/sings peace are as well.
