Ashlyn's concert wrapped up. She changed into a t-shirt and shorts, removing her makeup. Soon enough she was home, Big Red waiting there for her.

And while she tried to greet him, she didn't get a chance before he kissed her. She cupped his face in her hands, kissing back just as passionately. He put his arms around her waist, holding her hips.

"I love you." She breathed.

"I love you so much." He opened his eyes and looked into hers. "Can't wait to spend my forever with you."

"Me either."

"Side note: doing that during a concert? Amazing." He says on the couch. She sat beside him.

"I wanted it to be big." She smiled. "Besides, the song was... roughly inspired by you. You're the only person I've ever dated and loved anyways."

"Well, it was so cool. I mean... wow. Uh, thanks."

"Thanks?" She laughed.

"I mean, it must've been a big deal to put together."

"Well, yeah, but it's hardly something to thank me for." She shrugged.

"I'm just glad we're finally ready." He squeezed her hand.

"I guess I haven't always been ready for... everything, but I've always been ready for you. And us." She leaned against his shoulder. He put his arm around her waist.

"You're one of the few things I don't doubt." He kissed the top of her head. "I love you."

"I love you more."

"I love you more." He countered.

"Nope." She crossed her arms.

"Shut up." He grinned and pulled her into another kiss. "I just don't know how you pulled this off."

"Took some work. Totally worth it." She kissed his cheek.

"I've actually been, uh, looking for a ring recently." He admitted.

"Guess we're always on the same page." She awed.

"You want it to be a surprise or... you wanna look for one with me, make sure you like it."

"I'll like it either way. Plus, you know my taste. You've only lived with me over five years." She teased. "Surprise."

"Okay, great." He smiled.

"Out of curiosity, did you have any plans?"

"Not really, yet." He admitted. "I just wanted to find the right ring. And there wasn't really a time constraint... 'cause we're solid."

"I know." She smiled. "I'm so glad."

"Did anyone know what you were doing tonight?" He asked curiously.

"I had to tel everyone involved in the concert, but they don't really know you. After I released 'peace' I asked your parents if I could propose to you sometime, but I didn't have any plans then. That's about it."

"God, this is amazing. It's just us." He couldn't stop the grin forming on his face.

"I know." She smiled as he kissed her neck. He showered it with kisses off almost a full minute, Ashlyn silently enjoying it and letting the concept of them together sink in. As he continued, wrapping his arms around her tighter, she spoke. "You ready for bed?"

"Yeah. I am."

And that wasn't too big of a choice, but he was ready for anything with her. Every second, every minute, month, year.

Together.

They found peace in each other.
