2nd Person POV

After leaving the beach you and Akio went to lunch, a small burger place by your apartment. Not to class, obviously, as your hair looked horrible and your fingers were a little like prunes. You drove home, he kissed you good night and you went to bed. Swimming really tired people so to your surprise you stayed up for about another 2 hours. It was understandable, there was a lot of your mind- or not really. It was a lot of stuff but it all revolved around one person. Nishinoya.

You sighed as you laid down on your bed, hair still a little damp from your shower.

Why was he all you could think about? Even though your date! Your mind was just flooded with images of him. From high school. From recently. Form solely your imagination. There was no point in trying to stop your mind from racing, you decided. So you just took a nap. Boy was that a bad idea.

---

The dream you had was so normal and peaceful. You lay on some grass at the back of someone's house. There was a volleyball net over to the side, a small table with a few chairs. The sun was setting and yeah stared at the pink-turning sky. You heard the sound of a sliding open and tilted your head up. Someone walked out towards you and laid down right beside you. Their face was there but you couldn't remember it so you had no idea who it was.

They pointed to a cloud and said, a little loudly, "That one looks like a giant middle finger!" You started laughing.

"Where?!" You asked, giggling.

They pointed repeatedly, "There!"

"It does!" At this point, both of you were cackling.

That was the most you remembered, but you knew the remainder of the dream was you and this person cloud gazing, then stargazing once they appeared.

---

When you woke up it was already six-thirty and it felt like you ate only a few minutes ago so you skipped dinner. You watched a show, did a bit of school work then went back to sleep.

"Rise and shine~" Jiyu sang as she opened your door. You groaned and turned over. "Wake up n/n~" You felt her pick up your arm and attempt to pull you out of bed. "N-N/n." She struggled to move you. "Get. up."

"No." You whipped your arm back over.

"Yes." She pulled you again.

"Too early."

"It's one in the afternoon!" She pulled you off your bed.

"Too. Early." You rolled over, getting comfortable on the floor.

"Ya' know what!" She dropped your arm. "Never mind." You heard her walk out. "Common, she is refusing to move. Let's just go." Jiyu said in the hall.

"Fine by me." You heard Miku jingle the car keys.

"Are you sure she doesn't want to come with you?" Yachi asked.

"She was out all day yesterday, she's not going to want to come anyways." Miku sighed and you heard the door open.

"Okay." The door closed.

Immediately you got up and rushed into the kitchen, blanket over your head and wrapped around your body. There was a plate of pancakes on the counter with a bright yellow sticky note attached to the side of the plate. You leaned over and read it.

'We're going to meet with Yamaguchi so we'll be back later, these are for you :) - Yachi'

'Don't touch my Doritos. - Miku'

'We love youuuuu <3 - Jiyu'

Happily, you grabbed the plate and waddled to the couch. You clicked on the tv and watched while eating the pancakes that were made for you. Once you finished you placed the plate in the sink and put a sweatshirt over your bra and switched your shorts to a pair of sweats. Yesterday was, like, twenty degrees (Celsius) so how could today possibly be eight?! Fucking climate change, you sighed sitting down again.

For the next hour or two - you weren't really paying attention to the time -you sat on the couch and watched tv, constantly checking your phone to see if you got any text messages, from whom you couldn't decide. One part of you wanted Akio to text you, so what, you saw him yesterday? Should he be texting you daily? And the other part longed for Nishinoya's name to flash on your screen. He was getting in your head again. It was all you ever thought of. I mean you did spend more time with him now, a lot more time. You worked together and were neighbours so you saw one another every single day. He was also best friends with one of your closest friends. There was no avoiding him.

- Knock, Knock, Knock -

You open the door.

"Hey, wait- did you just wake up?" Nishinoya scrunched his eyebrows, looking a little disappointed that he'd woken you.

"No, no. Been up for a little, don't worry. What's up?" You waved your hand by your stomach. His expression became happier.

"Wanna work out with me?"

"Huh?"

"I'm gonna go on a run then to the gym and I've been looking for a buddy. You down?" That was when you realized he was shirtless and in basketball shorts.

"Oh." You blinked, trying to focus on his face again. "Um..." Bad idea, face to pretty. No focus on face. Focus on words. "I-" Words! What are words!

"Never mind. I'll just go run to Tanakas and make him go with me. Or maybe Tsukishima, that man needs to learn what leg day is." He turned.

"Wait!" You grabbed his shoulder and pulled him back, a little surprised to see he was unbothered by your immediate contact. "Sorry I just, kinda failed to...words for a second there, heh. I'd love to be your gym buddy but I'm not really dressed for it right now."

"I can wait."

"You sure?" He nodded.

"Great! Come in, make yourself at home. I will only be a bit." He walked in and you closed the door. "Remote is on the couch, don't touch the chilli Doritos!" You ran into your room.

Of course. You had forgotten that it was laundry day, meaning you had no clean clothes. After searching you found one pair of biker shorts and a sports bra. Perfect! You sighed. There were no hair ties insight so you rushed over to Yachi's room and grabbed two of hers. One went on your wrist and the other was in your hair, tying it into a ponytail.

You filled a water bottle up. "Ready!"

"Sick! Okay. First, we're gonna run to the gym, do a quick stretch and... see what happens from there."

"Got it- wait how far is the gym?"

"About a three to four k run from here." He walked out of the apartment.

"Three to four kilometres?!" You yelled, but he had already started going down the stairs. "Nishinoya Yu!" You chased after him.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To some people that might be a tiny run but I swear I would pass away after jogging down the stairs, thank you. There would be no way I would even agree to being someone's gym buddy. Especially someone as athletic and energetic as Nishinoya. Anyways, I hope you have a good day/night or whatever.
