Freedom and feelings

It was a rainy morning. Adora and Catra had fallen asleep on each other. You could hear Catra's phone buzzing with Prime's messages. The two girls woke up and heard the phone. Catra grabbed it and was about to message him back when Adora stopped her and said "Block him." Catra looked at Adora in a puzzled face "I-I can't." Adora slightly smiled and said "Catra please block him you aren't gonna be living there anymore." Catra was hesitant but blocked him. Catra let out a breathe that she didn't even know she was holding. "Catra i'm sorry i know this might be hard for you and you don't trust Glimmer, Bow and Angella but for you to stay here and to make sure you are safe i have to tell them is that okay with you?" Catra sighs "If i'm being honest i would say no but they are starting to feel like my friends too so i think i can also trust them. Adora didn't expect this from her. Catra doesn't trust anyone. "Do you want to be there when i tell them?" "No but they can see me after." Catra said while still on top of Adora. "Okay i'll talk with them can i show them the pictures?" "Yes Adora you can." Catra said while curling up i  a ball. "You can stay in my room okay Kitty?" "Okay princess." 

Adora got up from the bed and went into Glimmers room. Adora opened the door to see Glimmer and Bow half awake. "Hey guys can i talk to you about something it's serious?" Adora asks. Glimmer rubs her eyes and says "Yeah sure what's up?" Adora sits across from them on the bed. "It's about Catra i want her to live here." Glimmer and Bow were very confused but Glimmer asks "What why?" "Her house is very abusive Glimmer." Adora said while rubbing her arms. Adora then explained to Glimmer and Bow what Catra had explained to her. Glimmer was in tears because of this and Bow was on the verge of tears. "A-Adora that's awful." Glimmer managed to blur out. Adora hugged the two and then told them about how she wanted Catra to get out of that house because they have proof. Adora showed Glimmer and Bow the photos. Glimmer and Bow both saw how awful the situation is. "I-Is Catra okay with you telling us this?" Bow asks while wiping tears away. "Yes because she said she trusts you guys." The two were definitely shocked by this. Catra seemed like the person who doesn't trust anyone. After a few more minutes of trying to keep them self calm they agreed to see Catra. The three opened the door to see Catra curled up in a ball on her phone. Glimmer and Bow couldn't hold it but they ran up to her and hugged her. Catra was shocked and definitely hesitant to hug back but after a few seconds she hugged back. "I'm sorry." Glimmer said to Catra while still hugging her. "Hey it's okay." Catra said with a slight smile. After a few minutes of that they all calmed down and decided to plan how to let Catra escape from that horrible place. They thought they could go to Prime's house and sneak into her room to pack her stuff, tell Angella about the situation and call police and file a report. After they made a plane Bow, Adora and Catra all got ready to get her things while Glimmer stayed back to tell her mom about the situation that they are in. While getting ready Adora noticed that Catra was anxious. "It's gonna be okay." Adora said while putting her hand on Catra's shoulder. "Do you think Angella will allow me to stay in the house?" Catra said while fidgeting with her hands. "Of course, you can share the room with me." Adora said with a warm and comforting smile. Catra let out a breathe and followed Bow and Adora to Bow's car. The whole ride Bow was playing music and Adora and Catra were watching a video on Adora's phone since they gave Glimmer Catra's phone to show the pictures. When they arrived they saw that Prime wasn't home so that was good. Bow decided to stay back to watch out if there's anyone coming. Adora and Catra snuck into Catra's room to get her stuff. They brought some bags and a huge box. Adora started grabbing all of Catra's clothes and jewelry even tho she didn't have much and Catra started getting all of her room's stuff. When they finished it was about twenty minutes later and the room was practically empty. While packing Adora noticed a flag. It was a lesbian pride flag hung up on her wall. "What's that?" Adora said while looking towards the flag. Adora knew about the lgbtq+ community but she didn't know the flags or their meaning. Catra looked to where Adora was looking at and she said "It's a lesbian pride flag, also the reason that Prime hates me." Adora was shocked she didn't mind it but she was definitely not expecting that. "You're a lesbian?" Adora said. Catra looked up and she was hesitant because she couldn't figure out what Adora's reaction was. "Yeah.." She said hesitant. "Oh- not that that's bad i just didn't expect it- not that i don't support you i full support and uhm-" "It's okay Adora." Catra said while laughing at the struggling blonde. The two finished and went down to Bow's car. They put everything in the back while they made it back in the car. The whole car ride Bow was playing music again but the two girls were silent. They made it back into the house and they carried the boxes into Adora's room. When they set everything down Glimmer came in the room with a huge smile on her face "I told my mom and she said you can live here and she'll be filing a police report!" Glimmer said this while trying to catch her breathe. "Wow this really means alot thanks guys." Catra said while trying to not let any tears fall down. After a while Glimmer and Bow decided to leave the two girls to unpack Catra's stuff. "Can i hang my flag?" Catra asks Adora. "Of course you can." Adora said with a smile. They unpacked and the room was looking good. It had posters, plants and decoration everywhere. Catra loved to decorate her room and Adora didn't really know how so her room was a lot prettier now. They both also got ready for bed but it was quite early so they weren't tired yet. Adora knew Catra has been dealing with a lot so she just thought to go on her bed and chill on her phone next to Catra. Angella said that she has been handling the police report. Catra has met Angella before and Angella liked Catra. Angella also agreed to let them take this week off school. "Hey Catra, i know this is a lot to deal with so what do you wanna do?" Catra looks over to Adora and smile "I don't know you guys have already done so much for me." Catra said while looking kind of guilty. "Hey of course i would've done anything to get you out of that shithole. Plus now we don't need to fall asleep on facetime anymore." Adora said with a smug look on her face "Wow Blondie swearing never knew you could be such a badass." Catra said while laughing. "Shut up." Adora said trying to hide the fast that she was blushing. "I don't know you choose." 

Adora looks over to the floor and saw that Catra had a electric guitar "You can play a song for me." Adora said while rushing over to the guitar. "That's embarrassing." Catra said putting her hands over her face. "Pleasee." Adora said while making a dorky smile. "Fine." Catra said while rolling her eyes. She grabbed the guitar and started playing the song "Devil Town." by cavetown. Adora sat there admiring Catra's playing and singing. Catra looked so pretty. I've never seen her like this. After Catra had finished Adora looked like she just saw a ghost. Catra was very talented, her voice was very angelic.  "Earth to Adora?" Catra said waving her hand in front of Adora's face. "Huh? Oh your singing is amazing Catra." "Oh uh thanks." Catra said awkwardly. "Can you play the normal guitar?" Adora asks while looking at Catra with stars in her eyes. "Yeah i can, i have one." Catra said while rubbing the back of her neck. "Can you play something with the normal guitar pleasee?" Catra sighed and said "Ok ok fine." Catra grabs her guitar and sits on the floor where she was sitting earlier. She thinks for a second which song to play and she decides on "Not allowed." By tv girl. Adora was really impressed, Catra was really good at singing and playing. She looks so pretty. Her voice was so angelic and soft. Adora didn't even realize it but she was staring at Catra. But not just at Catra but Catra's lips. After Catra was finished Adora quickly jumped and said "Catra your singing is amazing!" "Thanks Adorbs." Catra said while rubbing the back of her neck. "I still can't get over how cute Adorbs is." Adora said in a teasing tone. "Shut up." Catra said while rolling her eyes and going in the bed. Adora followed and they both sat there on their phones. 

Adora's POV:

I still can't believe how crazy this day now. Yesterday Catra was just sleeping over and now she's living here. I mean Catra has gone through so much already. She had been abused this whole time. I hope she feels safer here. If i'm being honest i kept what Glimmer said in mind. About if i was straight or not. I have thought about it for a while and i realized i'm not straight. I haven't told Glimmer or Bow yet. And if i'm being honest i'm not sure of my feelings for Catra. We had been bestfriends our whole life. Why is it different now? I'm not sure but i definitely know that how i feel about her isn't just in a friend way and now that i found out she's gay it makes it weirder. I have a bad feeling i do have a crush on her. Not only are we living in the same house but we are also sharing a room and a bed. I did realize i have to accept the fact that i may love Catra. But i'm not sure yet. I guess i'll just have to figure it out. 

Catra's POV:

I still can't believe i am living here now with Adora. I mean i'm glad i'm out of that shithole but still. I haven't talked to anyone about how i feel about Adora. I want to talk to Scorpia about it since she is like my only close friend who isn't Adora. I'm gay but i don't know if Adora is. We have been friends our whole life why does it need to change now. I know how i feel about her isn't in a friend way. I'm accepting the fact that i'm maybe in love with my bestfriend. I can't call this a crush, i've had crushes and two girlfriends before. I've never had feelings like this towards anyone. But this is gonna be really difficult since i'm living with her. We are literally sharing a bed right now. How am i even gonna deal with this? I guess i'll just have to figure it out.
