I felt ill.

Flitwick kept giving me worried glances as if I'd faint right in my seat, I couldn't blame him.

It could be due to the lack of food in almost 5 hours, or the fact I'm now forced to see you even more for the rest of term.

The remaining classes were a blur fogging my consciousness.

My head was rested heavily on the dinning table.

"Kat eat for Merlin's sake you're freaking me out." Pansy poked my elbow with the warm plate.

I raised my head and glared at her for a moment before sliding it in front of me.

I pitifully picked at my lunch while Pansy and a few other girls in our house gossiped about boys.

Boys... I've had just about enough of them.

I watched Blaise launch a carrot from his spoon, it bounced off Theo's cheek causing a roar of laughter.

You pointed your fork at him no doubt threatening him not to do the same to you. Your eyes resembled the snow storm raging outside.

"It must be rough getting paired with Draco. Didn't he give you detention after your birthday? I wouldn't mind taking him off your hands."

Tracey Davis.
The red haired, egocentric, thick headed girl who was about to receive a fork in her glacier blue eye.

"I doubt he'd be fond of pairing with someone who resembled a Weasley, Tracey." I grinned and squinted at her ironically.

Snickering and astonishment slipped from the girls around me.

"Draco wouldn't so much as insult you he thinks so little of you Tracey." Pansy spewed as her lip curled up.

"Whatever, I'd rather be called a Weasley than Theo and Draco's devoted pets." Tracey's predatory stare jumped from Pansy to me causing my temper to spark.

Pansy laid a cold hand on my knee from under the table.

She had no idea what she was talking about, jealousy was extremely unflattering. I wanted to jump across the table and smack some decency into her.

Boys ruin everything.

You weren't always so callous, not towards me at least.

Here comes the dreaded questions.

Did you hear any of that?
Were you ever going to tell me the truth?
Why are you treating me like this?

I refuse to spend anymore time worrying about this mess.

"I'm getting transfiguration over with so I can sleep for my free periods. Meet up before dinner?" I placed my hand atop Pansy's still resting on my knee.

"Sure thing." She peered down at my barely touched food.

I reached into the golden bowl holding various fruits and pulled out a bright green apple shaking it in front of her.

"Mhmm." She scoffed smiling at me.

I placed it in my bag and slid from the bench making my exit.

Daring one last glance at you in passing, your seat was empty.

-

My eyes were scorching in their bone dry sockets. I desperately needed a nap.

As I was walked out of Mcgonagall's classroom I'd almost rounded the corner towards Central Hall when a voice called out from behind me.
