The day after the brutal ambush in which you and I orchestrated was unsettling.Majority of us separated at breakfast, I couldn't remember the last time Pansy and I had been in the Great Hall at the same time and not sat together.
Our once tight-knit group seemed to enjoy the safety of isolation. I couldn't blame them, I've indulged in solitude too many times to count this year.
Misery does not love company in our cases.
All I'm able to think about majority of the day is what on earth my father is doing with your family, and if my body is going to shut down soon due to lack of nutrients and sufficient sleep.
My outer appearance began truly reflecting how I felt internally. Avoidance of mirrors became apparent, I didn't want to be reminded of my frail frame, porcelain skin, and lifeless eyes.
One accomplishment is I've managed to memorize every ingredient needed for the Draught of Peace potion we brewed the other day.
Was this because I'm in desperate need of assisting my never-ending anxious state of mind?
Yes.
Would I more than likely become a potion addict after this term?
We'll see.
My heart has been out of rhythm ever since Slughorn announced we'd be partners. It's comical in an ironic way
"Miss Whisp, You'll be with Mister Malfoy." That's not how I heard it at all.
I heard
I'll have to watch in awe of how quickly and precise your fingers move around bottles of mysterious liquids, mixing them together as if you'd done it a thousand times already. Mahogany and Mint taunting my senses causing me to lose focus completely. With you so close to me, our elbows and forearms brushing against each other as we worked, I'd have to hold my breath pathetically attempting to conceal my delirious emotions of hatred and lust.
and that's exactly how it happened.

The library swallowed me whole as I walked by your side, towering shelves of information and stories passed us by. I breathed in the potent smell of aged books, I wished nothing more than to get lost in the Magical Creatures section, but we had work to do.
"We'll hit the restricted section at this rate." I muttered as we kept walking passing multiple empty tables.
You halted causing me to smack into your stiff back. An annoyed huff of air slipping out of your mouth.
"Your lack of patience is intolerable." Your hand flew backwards steadying me before latching around my wrist.
"I am not a child that needs to be led everywhere for Merlin's sake. I hate when you do that." I complained while my eyes rolled back into my head.
"Then don't act like one." You assertively lead us to a quiet table under a snowy stained glass window.
I rested my bag against the wooden chair and slowly sat down glaring at your chiseled stone face.
Why can we never get along anymore?
When did our dynamic change?
I know it was partially my fault, we've done a fair amount of changing, but you seem so unapproachably cold now.
"I think Polyjuice and Scintillation will be fairly easy so let's work on Veritaserum." You were flipping through your book with one hand as the other stroked your smooth temple.
