Chapter Seven - Bones

Jax's Point Of View

I own 100,00 hectares of New York. My name was the most powerful here and people fear me but she doesn't. She never has and never will. Challenged me at every single point that I had seen her; she was a game that I shouldn't have played. I should have resisted her but I didn't. The temptation befell me more than you would think. She was worth better than anyone that I had ever met. So, why not make her my equal in everything. What better way to start it then giving her equal power over my land.

She'll deny it for the sake of her pride. It exceeds beyond her. She'll never admit that she desired the land that I was willing to offer but in front of her board members, who really do have the company's best interest in heart. There was no way she could refuse. So, I organised meeting, there and then when she left me at the receptionist. In case you couldn't realise, I'll do anything to win her back.

"Mr. Martinez, what can I do for you?" Rufus, the head of the board.

"I have land to offer to Neme- Ms. Romano," I stated calmly, "but she won't see me but you could convince her to take it,"

"How much land is it?" he inquired curiously.

"50,000 hectares." His face fell with shock.

"She refused it?" he said. I nodded as a response.

"We'll set a board meeting right now," he said while walking me to a room, "the meeting will be here withing half hour maximum,"

A smile rose from my face. She couldn't not refuse me anymore. Well, I had half hour to spare. I picked up my phone and called Angelo.

"Boss."

"Check the shipments coming in at the docks and then meet me at the headquarters," I said.

"Yeah sure, but where are you now?"

"Trying to get the love of my life back."

"Mhm, good luck. She's a stubborn spitfire when it comes to you, Jax and I'm telling you this as her best friend, she has every right to hate you."

I sighed, "I know. It'll take some time but if I have to spend the rest of my life trying then so be it."

"Maybe we should make a plan to help you win Reina's heart again. I could buy a pin board from Amazon for the whole mission. We could borrow your brother's tape they use for detective boards, that would be so cool, wouldn't it? We could be real best friends on the most dangerous mission ever. Getting Reina back." Angelo commented and I could feel his smile over the phone.

He had spent too much time with Nem and was clearly more happier. She had a positive effect on him just like she does to me but at the moment she hates the idea of me.

"Shut up and go back to doing your work," I scowled while cutting the phone. I walked over to the bookstore where I saw multiple romance books that I hadn't read and shoved them into a bag and paid for them and made my way to the florists picking up a bouquet of tulips.

Then I went to the house and sent one of my men to pick up the gifts and deliver them to her house in a box while I got up and saw Angelo.

"Oooh la laa," he started, "let me guess who the flowers are for? Reina." I huffed in a sigh of exhaustion.

"I used to bring these to an empty grave and pour my heart out to it," I laughed with a grin on my face.

"I know, you would be like 'I love you so much, baby, mwah I am so sorry I killed you mwah mwah," he said while having too much fun with it but in response I just roll my eyes to the back of my head. I knew I was whipped for her, hell I would fall on my knees for that woman.
