Olivia swung the hotel room door open, throwing her purse down to the ground. Olivia had decided to take an Uber back, so it probably took longer. And Sasha was already there waiting.

"Oh, I see you finally decided to come back." Sasha shook her head at her best friend.

"I took an Uber. They took the longer route from my moms house"

She spoke nonchalantly as she pulled off her clothes. And Sasha watched her, her eyes being disappointed.

"What's happening to you?"

Olivia turned to her, "I don't know sash let's see. After returning from my farther's service, I had to watch the man who'd broken my heart, stand there with his wife. Then on top of that, my mother disowned me."

Sasha shook her head, "she didn't disown you—"

"Then what the hell was that? She told me to never come back. The place where I GREW UP. All because of a bitch—"

"No! She told you not come back, because she's tired of you running. She needed you, and you ran out on her for the second time. All because of a irrelevant bitch that you haven't spoken to in years."

Sasha yelled at her best friend, trying to get her to see her wrong doings. But Olivia wasn't budging.

"Goodnight." Olivia moved to the bathroom for a shower and Sasha plopped down on the bed sighing.

A Few Days Later:
Olivia sat in her favorite cafe as she typed on her laptop, she'd thought it would be a good idea to get some work done while being down there. Though, she wouldn't be down here as long as she had planned. She realized her mistakes from yesterday, and wanted to make it right, but too afraid there was no fixing it this time.

Her eyes never left her laptop until she saw feet standing in front of her. Looking up she couldn't stop her heart from sinking at the sight of his face.

"Spencer."

She greeted him, trying to keep her voice calm. "We need to talk."

He took a seat in front of her with his own permission, and she sighed closing her laptop.

"Okay? What's this about?"

He looked at her, damn this isn't as easy as I thought it would be.

"I-I get this can be hard. And I know we haven't spoken in god knows how long, but you can't let what happened between us affect your relationship with your mother."

She chuckled softly under her breath, "Jordan sent you?"

Though it had been years, she still knew Spencer like the back of her hand. And she knew that after all these years, he wouldn't just volunteer to talk to her, he was too stubborn, just like her. So it was either her mother, or Jordan forcing him to. It had always been that way. Even when they were younger and would get into arguments, they'd both been too stubborn to talk things out, so Jordan, her mother or farther, would always have to convince them to solve their issues. They had always worked it out eventually, well before, but now they were something like...strangers.

"You caught me," they shared a laugh before it went silence. The silence being awkward and the tension was high.

"But seriously Liv..." he started and met her eyes.

"Don't let what happened with us, affect you and your mom. Especially now. She needs you."

She sighed, "I get you're trying to help. But honestly I fucked up my relationship with my parents and my brother a long time ago, when I decided to shut them out. Me, my mother and Jordan have a lot of repairing to do, and it's not gonna happen in two weeks."

He shook his head, "actually...it could, if you guys would just try. Anything can be fixed, in any amount of time. It's the effort you put into fixing it, that's what counts."

She smiled softly, "even after three years, you still giving speeches. I thought you would've retired by now."

She joked and he chuckled lightly, shaking his head. "Well Ms. Baker, I ain't ever gonna stop giving speeches, it's my specialty. Plus, y'all would be a mess without 'em."

She pursed her lips making a face at him, and laughed.

"Whatever you say Mr. James."

She looked up at him as he stood to his feet, "it was nice taking to you, Liv."

She nodded, "you too."

"Maybe...one day we could repair our friendship as well."

He said softly as a sad smile creeped up on his face and he turned to leave. Maybe.

Suddenly she called out to him. He turned his face having a bit of hope.

"Tell Amara I said, sorry.." he chuckled and she gave a light one as well. He nodded then left out of the cafe.

"Olivia?" Sasha called out as she walked through the hotel room door.

"I'm here!" Olivia shouted from the other room.

"Still working I see," Olivia nodded, her eyes still glued to her screen.

"I heard you talked with Spencer," Olivia looked up, her brows scrunched up in confusion.

"And how'd you know that?"

"I was over at the bakers house, I heard them talking about it. And it seems to me that you feel more guilty about yesterday, than you're letting off."

Sasha sat down her purse and took a seat next to Olivia. Olivia sighed.

"I do feel guilty. I mean, i literally got into it with someone at my farther's service. Then walked out on my mother, who needed me the most. How could I not feel guilty?"

Sasha nodded, "you should talk to her. I'm not going to give you some big speech, I see you've had enough of those today. But when you feel that you're ready, just give her a call."

Sasha left for a shower while Olivia sat there in her thoughts. Picking up her phone she let out a breath. Everything was still fresh, but she decided that she would give her mother a call anyway, just so they could talk things out. But there was someone else she had to make things right with first, at least while she was still down In LA.

Me: hey, is that offer still on the table?, because if  so, I would like my best friend back.

She quickly clicked her phone off, scared for the response. Two weeks ago, she would've never even thought about picking up her phone to send that message, but her father dying made her realize something. Life is too short.

She wondered if he'd even want to be friends again, or if he just wanted to end their fued. Either way, there was no going back now.

Her heart jumped when she felt the buzz of her phone, letting her know that she'd gotten a new message. Picking up her phone slowly, her heart raced.

SJ: I would love that.
