I'd love that.

Was the only thing that replayed in her mind as she slept through the night. When she had first come down there, she didn't expect this kind of reunion with him. But here they were. Though the hurt from their past situation hadn't fully left, this was a great start.

Groaning she rolled out of bed. Reaching over for her phone, she checked the time. 11:30 am.

She searched the very small hotel room, for her best friend, discovering that she'd already went out for the day.

Me: sash, where'd you run off to?

She clicked on her playlist getting into the shower. Letting the hot steamy water hit her face, she started to worry about what Spencer's wife would think about all this. If I was her, I wouldn't be too happy if my husband reconciled with the woman who'd punched the shit out of me only two days ago. Also being the woman he used to be head over hills for.

Getting out the shower she grabbed her phone, seeing if she'd gotten a new message.

My other half 🤍: I'm over your mom's, I'm helping her out with some yard work. Maybe you could stop by?

Olivia smiled. She loved how supportive Sasha was. She was helping out more than Olivia was, and it was Olivia's situation.

Me: of course. I'll be over in 30.

Rushing to get dressed, Olivia grabbed the first outfit she saw in her suitcase, which had been; pink sweatpants along with a white crop top, and a creamy white sweater, just in case it got cold. Placing her hair in a pony tail, she grabbed her purse heading for the door.

45 minutes later:
Olivia huffed as she exited the Uber. She was a bit nervous about seeing her mother. She didn't know if her mother was still upset at her, or if she'd let go of the situation. Not that it was something to forgive so easily, Olivia still hoped everything would go well.

"Haha, yes she's a stubborn one!" Olivia heard Sasha's laugh and instantly knew they were talking about her.

"Am I interrupting?" Laura turned, her smile slightly falling.

"Uhm no. You're just in time actually. Me and Baker were just talking about you."

Olivia nodded slowly looking over at her mother, "yeah...I can see that."

"Liv..." Laura's voice was soft, as she approached her daughter.

"I'll be in the back." Sasha walked away, leaving the two alone to talk.

"I'm sorry mom." Olivia's eyes filled with tears. She didn't think she'd get emotional, but tears welled up before she could stop them.

"Oh honey, it's okay. I should've been more understanding. He was your father, you had every right to be upset, and though I do not agree with how you handled it, I completely understand. I know seeing Spencer probably—" Olivia cut her off by hugging her.

"I should've never told you not come back, and I'm truly sorry for that." Olivia shook her head.

"I should've never left in the first place," Olivia cried into her mother's shoulder.

"Everything was just...too much." Laura nodded rubbing her daughter's back softly.

"I know honey. And I promise to be more understanding from now on."

"And I promise to stick around. No matter who's in the way."

Ahout three hours later there was a light knock on the door, interrupting Olivia, Laura and Sasha's conversation.

"I'll get it," Olivia walked to the door, a grin on her face until it soon dropped when she seen who'd been awaiting her. Along side her brother, Spencer stood there with a small smile.

"I thought it'd be cool if we had a family dinner, I suggested it to mom."

Jordan spoke, while Olivia and Spencer failed to break eye contact.

"Liv?" Olivia cleared her throat tearing away from his gaze.

"Oh. Of course. That's sounds nice," she turned away letting them inside, as she made her way back into the kitchen. Her and Spencer had made things right, but she could not help the knots in her stomach that appeared after seeing him.

"What's up Mrs. Baker," Laura pulled Spencer into an embrace as Olivia, Sasha and Jordan stood off to the side.

"Nice seeing you again," jordan threw a smile over to Sasha and she could feel the heat that appeared on her cheeks as she smiled back.

"Likewise." Jordan chuckled then turned to his sister.

"I see you and mom made up," Olivia nodded.

"Yes."

"I'm glad."

Jordan sighed as he watched his mother start to prepare dinner. "This isn't gonna be the same without dad"

Olivia looked up at him, "but he wouldn't want us to stop his tradition, just because he's not here."

Olivia smiled at him and nodded, "I invited Ms. Grace." Jordan spoke.

"Perfect! The more the merrier!" Laura said as she turned to the fridge.

"Let me help," Sasha walked over to Laura giving her a polite grin.

Jordan could feel the tension so he made his way over to his mother as well.

"So..."

She laughed a bit, "so?"

"How have you been?" He tried to ease the tension that he felt building up.

"I've been okay."

"Good." He stuffed his hands into his pockets as silence started to fill.

She let out a breath as her chest started to tighten, "where's amara?"

Surprised by the question, he raised his eyebrows earning a laugh from her lips.

"I know me and her are not really on the same page—"

"You punched her."

He chuckled and Olivia shut her eyes at the memory, "don't remind me."

He laughed under his breath but answered, "she's at work."

"Cool."

This time he gave her a question, "how's Vegas?"

Her eyes stayed to the ground as she answered, "it's, great."

Vegas was one of the reasons they'd parted ways, so talking about it with him made her feel...guilty. She'd left him three years ago because of her internship in Vegas. Breaking not only his heart, but hers as well.

"You remember we'd do these dinners every Friday back in high school?"

She chuckled at the memory, "yep. My dad would always make his 'famous' ribs. Though I used to mess with him about it, those sauces he would mix, kind of hit different."

"Hell yeah! I think I only came for the ribs to be real wit' you," he joked and they both shared a laugh.

"Good times." He sighed as they stared off into the memories they'd shared with billy, and each other.

"I'm gonna miss that old man." Olivia chuckled lightly.

"Me too."

He looked at her, giving her a gentle grin, "it's good to have you back, Liv."

She smiled back, giving him a small back, "it's good to have you back too, Spence."
