"They'll shut off the lights soon. They might not all come right away. So we better swap out who's gonna keep watch, just to be safe, I think." Gi-hun spoke.

I was sat next to Saebyeok. She was playing with my long soft hair.

"No, two of us should watch. A pair can keep each other awake. Just one person might go leave and betray our team." Sang-woo sighed.

"I can... be first watch then. You don't really sleep a lot when you're old."

"Excuse me, but are we just supposed to trust an old man like you to not sleep on the job all night?" I felt bad for the old man. He turned to look at the floor.

"Let me go first"

 I'm not tired yet." Ali spoke. "I'll go with you." He finished. Sang-woo nodded his head. 

"Then I'll be next. You wake me up the second you get tired." Ali nodded his head in agreement.  "Then why don't I join you on second watch? Assuming that's okay with you." The old man spoke.

"Yeah, that sounds good."

My eyes peered at the timer.

I was woken up to the sound of groaning. 001. "Do you need help, sir?"

"What's going on?" Gi-hun felt the old man's head "Oh. You're burning up."

"No, no, it's fine. I'm fine."

"Here. Lie down." Gi-hun placed the old man down. "Okay. We need to lower your fever. Hold on."

"Ah, shit."

"Here. Use this." I spoke, holding my water bottle. He grabbed the water out of my hand. I went to sit down on the floor. Watching 101's team.

"Just you rest now. After all, we can't... start the next game without you." I heard Gi-hun speak from behind me.

"You should go and rest. I can handle this alone." Gi-hun spoke as he sat down next to me.

 "We agreed to do pairs. And I'm already awake now."

"Thanks so much." He paused, "For this."

"No worries" 

Gi-hun inhaled. "So, y/n. Why are you here?" I hesitated before speaking. "Money"

"I needed money to move with my sister" I sighed. "Uncle won't give me any so, I have to make it myself"

"What is your uncle's name?"

I paused. "Hwang Jun-ho"

"What about your parents?" I didn't want to tell him. "Why do you care all of a sudden?"

Gi-hun sighed. "I just... There's something Saebyeok sees in you and I want to understand what she sees"

"What has Saebyeok got to do with this?"

"You like her?" I didnt answer him. Before I had the chance the lights turned on and the armed men in red came charging in.

"What the fuck?"

"Attention. All players, please make your way to the center of the room. Once again... Attention. All players.  All of you, go. please make your way to the center of the room"
