part 1I woke up. I peered down at my body, I wasn't in my normal clothes. I studied the number stuck on my green outfit. 002.
I was surrounded by beds. Over 400 beds were stacked on top of each other.
"Miss, did you know there are 456 people here?" A small voice spoke. I gazed at the man. his number was 001. He had a smile on his face. A big happy smile.
"456?" I smiled back. "That's a lot of people. do you think that number will grow?"
"No, I'm sure no more people will come" He smiled. We sat awkwardly until someone said something. "Why are you here?" I asked.
"I can't remember" The old man spoke, causing me to frown. "Brain tumor"
" I don't have much time left now. the doctor said there's a lump inside over here. growing every day" the man seemed happy enough to live on and forget about his brain tumor.
"I'm sorry to hear that, sir." I looked at the floor. I wasn't expecting an old man to be here. Especially with a brain tumor.
The man smiled at me. I didn't trust him. Something about him seemed... Off. "What's your name?" The man continued. "y/n"
"Y/n.. that's a beautiful name!" The man exclaimed. I smiled before looking around. A big circle formed in the middle of the room with yells being let out. I and the old man both agreed to go see what was going on.
"You little shit!" A voice roared. I studied the man that yelled. His number was 101. Tattoos were painted on his face. He looked like a murderer. Probably was a murderer.
Mother always told me never to judge anyone by looking at them but I could tell he was going to make everyone's stay hell.
"Stop them!"
"It is a small world, huh!" He pushed the woman who he was fighting. Her number was 067. She's pretty. She's really pretty.
"Look at those eyes. You still have that temper, huh." He reminded me of my uncle.
Short-tempered. most probably lonely. An ugly man that hurts people. Probably your parents.
"Then again nobody broke your spirit, you could always take a hit. I took care of you, I fed you, I taught you when you had nowhere else. This is what I get?""You took more from me than whatever I might owe." The girl finally spoke up. Her lip was bleeding although she didnt seems to care.
"If all of that's true, how come you ran then?" The man exclaimed.
"Well, I didn't. I went independent." Number 067 spoke with a smirk, earning a kick in the stomach.
"Hmm. "Independent"?" The man sighed. He threw a punch, She dodged it.
The crowd gasped. "Independent, huh? Are you some kind of activist? Come on then, go wave a flag. Oh, that's right. you're from North Korea, huh? then wave theirs. hmm?" He made my blood boil.
