Melting flesh, crooked jaw
Reek of death
Magnetized on shredded cloth.
Eye sockets cradling rotten cherry-orbs,
Glaring at theHuman cashier, sighing,
“Not another Undead shopper.”Beep Beep
Zombie items crawl
Over red lasers,
Tally prices.
Hoarse with shredded vocal cords,
An impatient moan arises.Human cashier, popping gum,
“Will that be all, Undead?”Cracking, crinkling bones crushing
As Zombie shakes its head.
Half jaw dangling,
Chipped calcium tumbling,
Powdering grocery conveyor beltHuman cashier, rolling eyes,
“Stupid Undeah–”Sentence fragmented,
Zombie jaws clasping
On Human neck, blushing with
Rubicund tears, snap!
Zombie snack.
Feasting on Human cashier,Human manager, walking, observing,
“We need a replacement here.”
