Marinettes POV:

"marinette you're going to drive yourself insane !" Alya yells at me . i feel like i already have .

"i know i know i'm sorry but i HAVE to figure out the recipe ! we need it to defeat hawkmoth i'm DONE fighting off his lame villains in the middle of the night" i yell back as i continue mixing the pot .

ever since iv told alya my identity she's been with me through every step of the way but it's driving me crazy at the same time just waiting for hawkmoth to
acumatize her .

"okay mari .." she takes my spoon from my hand , "let's take five , maybe go get some dinner before school tomorrow before your parents walk in to see you like this" she calms me down . i feel like i'm driving myself crazy.

"come on , we can go to the place down the street ?" she offers , i know i should probably listen to her but not listening is my specialty .

"okay fine , spots off" tiki flies out of me exhausted , i did that to her.

"i'm sorry tiki i didn't even think about you being in there!" she gives me a small smile in return as i feed her cookies from my bag.

we walk down stairs , tiki in my bag ready to leave when we see Adrien at the front of the bakery counter .

"hi Adrien" Alya starts and nudges at me to say something while my face is frozen and red .

"h-hi adrien" i awkwardly wave , we are like two feet away from each other why did i wave . i hate what he does to me , i just want to be able to talk to his stupid perfect self without getting mushy .

"hi marinette , hi alya" he says , god why must he be
so Adrien agreste . "Adrien came but to pick up some croissants" My mom says handing him the box , "Natalies birthday , she loves these" he says holding the box.

"tell her we said happy birthday" alya smiles before we head out , what is wrong with me . i can't even say goodbye.

"okay now tell me what was that" alya says while taking a bite of her food . "i'm sorry but you know how i get with him , i'm so pathetic" i sigh while drinking my shake .

"you aren't pathetic you just have to bring out your inner ladybug" the mention in public slightly jolts me up .

"but i'm nothing like that" i reply , "of course you are , just flirt with Adrien like you do with chat noir" she casually mentions. the hell is she on about now , i do not flirt with chat noir .

"what! i do not!" i slightly choke thinking about it. "oh come on don't think i'm oblivious like the rest of you" she smirks , my bestfriend is crazy .

"i have no idea what your talking about" i eat a fry pretending not to listen . "i see you guys bantering , teasing each other" she insists . "we do NOT!" i snap playfully . "whatever helps you sleep at night" she gives a smug look .

"i thought you liked me and Adrien together !" i ask , "don't get me wrong i support whoever you want to be with but you sure there's nothing going on with you and that cat?" Alya tries to pry something out of me .

"no , he's just a friend" i chuckle , "oh like Adrien is just a friend ?" she says back , how do i get out of this now .

"we ARE friends at the moment" i say , "okay but just saying if you ever felt a little something for the chat in black you know definitely already feels the same for you" she gets up to get more napkins leaving me giggling of confusion .

"alright class calm down !" ms.bustier tries to let us settle down as the last bell of junior year is yet to ring , everyone counting down the minutes.

"but ms.bustier it's almost summer!" Ivan adds , "yeah" the class all says in unison. i can't believe i'm going to be a senior in 3 months . insane .

and there it goes , the bell to summer awaits us as everyone starts to throw their papers and empty out their backpacks . This couldn't be more exiting , but devastating, high school is almost over .

"i can't believe high school is almost over" Alya walks next to me practically reading my mind as Nino and Adrien come along side us .

"what are you guys going to do this summer?" Nino asks us , what do i say ? fighting off hawkmoth at his most active ? trying to find a recipe to make us more powerful ? having alya hide everything behind his back ?

"i'm going to America for two months" Nino tells us all, sad he'll be gone for a majority of the summer , alya especially devastated .

"i'm going to do what i always do , photo shoots , piano , except fencing since it will close with school" Adrien tells us .

"marinette and i are hanging out later , would you guys like to come along ?" Alya suggests as i mentally yell at her, what if hawkmoth strikes, what if we have to leave . they'll catch on .

"cant, i have to pack", "i have a photo shoot" Adrien and nino thankfully have plans already, maybe it isn't just about hawkmoth, but being nervous about Adrien.

"phew" i rub my face as alya and i continue our walk to my house , "what are you so nervous about , besides Adrien"   she asks , "i don't know im just scared something could awaken in you and you'll get negative emotions and-" she cuts me off .

"Marinette ! im not going to get akumatized , don't you trust me ?" she looks at me nervously.

"of course i do that's why i told you , im just worried, anything could happen and hawkmoth could easily figure out my identity" i admit .

"listen marinette, i won't let you down, i have been safe for the past 2 years, now come on we have recipes to test in your miraculous kitchen in your bedroom" she smiles and we go upstairs after greeting my parents .

I'm glad i told alya my secret at 15, except that life now feels like a ticking time bomb .
