Gabriel's POV:
i'm working on my designs for the fall line coming next season, or at least pretending to while deliberating about a plan, an important one .
over the past phew weeks Natalie and i have been paying attention to detail in the superhero's lives, the ones that we know identities of in particular . There's one person who has caught our eye .
Alya Cessaire, Rena rouge, she's been quite close with ladybug recently and we've noticed how more often she's been hopping along on every mission.
however, instead of arriving to defeat my akuma with ladybug , she's been getting there on her own, sometimes even before ladybug or chat noir show up .
but she's not useful, we don't need her miraculous and all she's doing is taking the spot away from chat noir who's miraculous we do need to accomplish my wish . She's in my way and she must be hiding something .
as i'm thinking nooroo immediately hides as i hear a knock on my office door, how unusual i'm never bothered at this time .
i tell whoever's out to come it, and behold it's just my son .
"hi father" he says too energetic for my liking, he should be at a photo shoot right now, i demand to know what is going on at once !
"Adrien, why aren't you at your shoot" i ask with a pen in my hand, "the photographer canceled it, i thought Natalie told you sir" he calls me sir like i'm just some man , i'm his father .
"okay so why are you here" i ask sternly desperate to get back to my work .
"i-i was wondering if i could go out with my friends for a little, nino is leaving for America soon and-" i cut him off and see the fear in his eyes as he thinks i'm going to say no and get angry .
i don't know how to feel or how to react at my own son being afraid of my judgement, but this is a perfect way to get him out of the house while i work with Natalie .
"yes, you may go but be home by nine" i check my papers and immediately see his face bubble up like he was a little boy again, i miss those days, when days were less work full .
i see his face light up anytime he is with his friends , especially that baker girl that won my design contest in her freshman year, i feel like his happiness hasn't been as prioritized lately, and i feel like it should be .
"thank you father !" he perks up, ready to leave, i just want him to be safe and i don't plan on doing any akumatizations until my plan is on set . The summer awaits you ladybug and chat noir .
Adrien leaves my office and i hear him talking to Natalie, she begins asking him if he needs anything or wants anything, i'm glad she's been here for when i couldn't be as a father .

Natalies POV:
i hear Adrien come out of Gabriels office differently then usual, he seems happy and excited . normally he'd be disappointed and emotionless .
"hey Natalie, father let me go out with my friends i'll be back soon" he looks like a little boy excited about going to an amusement park, i missed his brightness .
"oh dear do you need or want anything ?" i panic, he rarely goes out, though he's almost a grown man i feel the need to protect him as if he was my own child, he needed a mother figure in his life after Emily .
"no thanks Natalie, bye" he chuckles and puts on his coat to leave . I'm glad to see Gabriel care for once, unless he needs him out of the house . in which case i should probably go to his office .

"hello Natalie , i think it's ready" he announces, i assume it's not about his company, maybe about his plan .
i feel bad for standing by him but like iv said before, i'd do anything for Gabriel agreste . when the time comes and we've accomplished what we had to, i'll replace his wife, though it hurts . He's a man who'd do anything for his family .
"what is ready sir ?" i ask , "from what iv gathered, this Alya cessaire knows something we don't about ladybug, possibly even her identity and she keeps the fox miraculous with her" he reveals the new information.
"wow, that's amazing, what are we going to do?" i'm so infused my this new information, this could help us defeat ladybug and chat noir !
"i wrote this little letter, a message for ladybug, i'm going to have one of my akumas deliver it to alya cessaire, this will lead them right into my trap"
his tone sounds more hopeful then it's ever been .
"oh okay, what is the trap sir?" i ask as he goes on a tangent about his master plan . leaving clues and hints and watching who this Alya girl spends most of her time with .
this may be the one that will get us where we want, however, we still have to plan out an akumatization . The abundance of akumatizable civilians has decreased since ladybug became guardian .
suddenly she has these powers to make other people charms to protect them . It's been holding us back a lot and we're usually very active in the summer .
"we need to bring back some old villains, maybe a whole army of them, they won't win this time" he starts, "however we must still do small petty villains so we don't throw off the balance, then they'll know we're planning something, we aren't the only ones who can prepare" he adds .
They'll catch on the moment we get down to five times a week instead of six . Precise and smart children those are . Consistency is key .
i wonder how much longer this will take, iv been trying to use my time wisely, we could win at any moment and i still have a life for now .
it might be over soon, but iv come to terms with it, this has been the plan for almost 4 years .
my worry is Adrien, i fear he might lose more then he has too, i don't think his mental stability can afford to lose more then he already has at such a young age .
but this is good , we're getting close to the finish line and all will be normal again soon .
