Find That Cat/Ch.13

As the final choked cries of Kalawarner rang, Raynare knew she had fulfilled her thirst for revenge. Now with one of her girls satisfied, Lilith puts her attention on the remaining aspiration of Koneko. It's time to find the little Neko's sister!

-=ORC Clubroom=-
Lilith POV

"So, do you know anything to help me," I ask from my spot on the single cushioned love seat in the clubroom that I had dubbed as mine; Koneko resting on my lap comfortably as her purrs at the head pats reverberate into my chest.

"I can't help you," she says which gets an eyebrow raise out of me before she continues. "But I do know someone who can."

"Is it your brother?"

"It's my brother," she says with a nervous smile while scratching the back of her head.

"I don't suppose you can call him here," I ask hopefully, not really wanting to make another trip to the devil-infested underworld.

*Crickets*

"Rias......", I say ominously.

"I'm sorry Lilith but my brother is too busy to come here so you'll have to go to the underworld if you want to talk and I know your still not a big fan of devils so I'm very sorry but it's the only way if you want to talk to-"

"Ok ok stop," I cut in with my head reeling at the rapid influx of words Rias just spoke.

Her mouth slams shut before a bright blush of embarrassment rises upon her face at the self-realization of her rambling.

"Guess we're going back to the Underworld then little Neko," I say to the purring girl on my lap with an audible sigh.

Koneko suddenly starts to shift around on my lap at my words before coming to a rest, now facing me while her two small hands find a spot on either of my cheeks. I'm reminded right away that Koneko sorta specializes in strength when I suddenly find myself staring into her eyes and my head unable to move.

Us staring at one another accompanied by a comfortable yet tense silence continues for several seconds before Koneko seemingly gets off track and gives me 'the look' while biting her lip. My face metaphorically and quite literally explodes in red at this gesture, only made worse by all the eyes in the room I feel on us.

"N-Not now Koneko.....people are watching!"

The look that I love so much luckily retreats for now as my words break Koneko out of her little stupor and bring her back to the task at hand.

"Ah, I'm very sorry Lilith!", she says frantically before removing her hands away from my face. "I just got a little distracted...."

"It's okay Koneko......we can uh.....do something later.....yeah."

"You two should probably get going soon," the voice of Rias says in a deadpan tone.

Koneko practically leaps out of my lap at Rias's voice and after a little bit more embarrassment from both of us, we set off to the underworld with the use of my gate. The shimmering sheet of purple swallows us up and in what seems like only a mere second, we appeared at the gates of the castle where Rias's brother lives. Unfortunately, an obstacle already presents itself in the form of several guards yelling at me and Koenko with magic and weapons ready in their hands at our sudden appearance.
