~Now 17 years old - turning 18~

I had been right, Jeremy and I had become amazing friends over the last two years that I had been in Mystic. Bonnie and Caroline had started referring to me as their older sister, which I thought was adorable. The only one who didn't really like me was Elena. We tolerated each other for the sake of the others but wouldn't choose to hangout. And I was okay with that, She would become more annoying soon any way. Elena was currently getting ready for a party at the falls with Bonnie and Care. 

"You sure you don't want to come?" I look up from my book at Caroline. I was sat on the window seat of Elena room reading Great Expectations for school. Care was looking over some of the outfits she had asked me to bring with me, for her to try. "I'm sure, my little care-bear. Someone has to stay and keep Jere entertained anyway." She grins at the nickname before holding up another outfit. "Not that one, It's too cold for that. Why not this?"

I jump off the seat and pull a pair of dark blue jeans with a black halter neck top. "This with the leather jacket, and black wedges would look amazing on you." She gave it a questioning look but went to the bathroom to try it on anyway. She came out and gave me a look but I quickly do her hair up in a messy but elegant bun, tucked the top into the jeans and added chunky square earrings and a simple chain around her neck, over the top. "Simple, classy. It shows off your figure with out showing off your body and you won't freeze to death. I call that a win." I move her to stand in front of the mirror. 

She looks at the outfit from all angles before nodding appreciatively. "It's not my usually bright outfit but I like it."

"You want a something light to brighten it up?" She nods and I switch out the black leather jacket for Elena's more neutral one and change her lipstick from the clear gloss she was wearing to a red-ish lip tint. "Better?"

"Much, thank you" She hugs me and I smile as I hug her back. Since I was staying with Jere tonight I was just in a simple black vest with spaghetti straps and a pair of white sweats that were folded over at the top a few times. Since Jere and I spent a lot of time at each others houses we each had a few outfits at one another's houses. I did the same with the girls but we, more often then not, wear each others.

Caroline goes to sit at the vanity when Bonnie comes in with an outfit in her arms and makeup bag in the other. "Hey Bon bon." I give a little wave and she smiles and attempts to wave back but can't. I chuckle and take the items from her arms while Care does her eyeliner. Elena comes in after Bon texting away on her phone, not really paying attention to the rest of us. She had gone down to let Bonnie in and clearly decided not to help the dark skinned girl who had been struggling. Bon gives me a grateful smile and I wave her off as I place her things on the foot of the bed and start folding the cloths I had brought with me back up and into the small travel suitcase. "Why didn't I think of that?" I hear Bonnie ask herself as she motions to the suitcase. I knew she didn't want an answer so I simple sit her down and start on her hair.

she was already wearing a lace front with her natural hair braided underneath so I simply straightened out fizziness before adding a slight wave. While I was doing this Caroline was holding up accessories to see what would go with Bonnies outfit. "Go with the quartz and layer a few chains with it." I tell the blonde and I point to the necklace in her right hand. 

I leave them and walk through the bathroom to Jere's room. "Hey Jere-bear, I'm going to order Chinese, want your usual?"

"Yes, please." I smile and ruffle his hair before grabbing my phone and going down stairs. To where Greyson, Miranda and Jenna were. "I'm ordering Chinese for Jere and I, want anything?"

"Kung pao chicken and rice." Jenna says over her shoulder and I give her a hug since I hadn't seen her in a while. "I'll have the same"

"Chicken chow mien for me, Honey" I smile at Miranda and enjoy the nickname since I knew today was going to be the last time I heard it. Miranda stands up and gives me the money for there portion. I go to protest but she forces the money into my hands and shushes me with a hug. I smile and hug her back. It was going to be sad to see her go but I knew I would need to remain strong for Jere. 

I make the call and place all of our orders along with a few fortune cookies. "It will be here in about 40 minutes." I tell the adults before going back upstairs to Jere's room, letting him know how long it will be. I lean my hands on the back of his chair and watch him draw before hugging him around his shoulders. He continues to draw but reaches his free hand up and squeezing my hand. I smile and kiss the side of his head. I was about to say something when I hear Caroline's voice from across the hall. "You can't, you too are so cute together!"

"I'll go sort the teen drama out." I tell him as I ruffle his hair. He chuckles at my actions and pushes my hands away. I leave him be as I go back to Elena's room. "What is it this time?" I ask the moment I walk in. The blonde turns to me.

"Lena wants to dump Matt tonight at the party."

"Care, If she wants to dump Matt, then let her. It's her choice. What if you were dating someone and no longer saw it going anywhere. Would you continue to date them?" I say in a calm and reassuring tone. She thinks over my words and her shoulders slump "No. I really hate when your right"

"Love you too, my little Care-bear" I hug her and place a kiss on the top of her head. "Now go, before your late. You look great Bon-bon" 

"Thanks Adds" I wave to the three girls as they leave and snap my fingers, my magic cleaning up the mess they had made so I wouldn't have too. I go back to Jere's room and play a few rounds of Mario kart, making sure to beat his top score so he would take the controller and play with me. As expected he spins around in his chair and practically tackles the controller off me. "Stop" He tells me in a whiny voice making me pinch his cheeks. "Awe. Is baby bro mad" He rolls his eyes at the baby voice and pushes me away and switches the game to two player so we can race. 

I was doing a victory dance on the bed when I hear the door. I quickly jump off and grab my purse before running down the stairs. Jumping off the last two as I do. I open the door and smile politely at the delivery guy. "Hi, order for Thornton."

"That's me. How much was it again?"

"$30" I take out the $30 along with a $10 tip "Here you go. have a great night." He sees the tip and thanks me with a giant smile. I take the food off him and close the door. "Jere. food!" I yell up the stairs and I hear a thud before he runs down the stairs. "Did you fall off the bed again?" I smirk as he blushes "Noooo" 

"Oh, really, so the red mark on your arm was from nothing?" He looks down at the mark on the side of his bicep and pokes me in the ribs. "Shut up." I chuckle silently and take the food into the living room. Miranda and Jenna had already set out plates and cutlery so I took out the containers and handed them out to the correct people. I get thank yous in return. Jere and I sit on the floor next to each other while the others all sit on the sofa or arm chair. After we finish eating we end up playing board games. Before moving on to asking each other questions. 

"Okay, Miranda and Greyson. What's one thing you feel you don't say enough to Jere, but you feel he should already know?" I ask the too as Jenna pours herself a second glass of wine along with my first one. My parents had told Miranda and Greyson that they allowed me to drink as long as it wasn't more then a few glasses and I was either at home or around other adults that they trusted.

"Um, I guess...That we love you, so much, and that we are proud of you and will always be proud of you, no matter what." Greyson nods in agreement to his wife's words and Jere turns bleary eyed as he stands and give them both a hug. "I love you guys too." 

When they pull away Miranda's phone goes off and she grabs her keys. "Elena says she need picking up."

"I'll come with you." Greyson says as he grabs his jacket. Miranda kisses Jere and I both on the forehead and Greyson squeezes Jere's shoulder as he walks past. I close my eyes tightly when I hear the door close, knowing it would be the last time they ever did that. 

"Right you too kiddos should go to bed." I smile and Jenna "Okay aunt Jenna, Night" I kiss her cheek. Jere does the same and we go upstairs. Jere falls asleep cuddled into my side almost instantly but I stay up, not being able to close my eyes.
