The next morning, I woke up late and ended up having to use magic to make breakfast while I rushed to get changed. I managed to pull on a pair of black joggers, a white shirt and matching trainers. I run downstairs as I tie my hair up into a messy bun. I make it to the kitchen to finds Claire already seated at the island fully dressed with her school bag on the stool next to her as she ate the bowl of fruit salad I had made.

"Thank God you're ready. We have five minutes to leave so eat fast." I say trying to catch my breath as I pour myself a coffee.

"Okay, Momma. Don't forget I'm packed lunch today." She reminds me and I swear under my breath. The school had changed up their menu and Claire didn't like most of the things they made or generally couldn't due to dietary restrictions. Luckily for me I had made tuna pasta salad that needed using up today that was Claire favorite.

I pack some into her bento box along with some more of the fruit salad in a separate compartment. Into the top layer I pack in one of the cookies we had backed last night along with a small chocolate bar. I quickly pack it into her lunch bag along with a bottle of juice. "Done. I'll bring a snack with me when I pick you up encase your still hungry. Now let's go. Leave your bowl there I'll clean up when I come back" I say since I didn't have to head into school today.

She nods and grabs and extra bottle of juice from the fridge. I take her school bag, lunch bag and my keys and we both run to the car. We make it to her school just in time for the bell to go off and I finally relax as I watch her walk in.

That was probably one of the more stressful mornings I have had in a while. When I return home, I clean up the mess from this morning and get the laundry on the go before doing a stock check of the fridge and cupboards. I refill what I could before writing down the rest of the items onto the shopping list. After that I write our meal plan onto the chalk board for the week.

When everything was done, I decide to head to the Salvatore boarding house to check in on what happened last night. Hopefully Elena didn't give Stefan her blood because I really wasn't in the mood to deal with Ripper Stefan right now. Plus, it meant his ring would no longer be working.

Pulling up to the Salvatore house I down the last of my Monster energy drink before getting out of the car, taking the empty can with me. I walk in shaking my head at the fact that they never lock the door or close it properly. "Yo! Salvawhores! your favorite witch is here!" I yell as I make my way to the kitchen to put my can in the recycling and start getting out the cookies I had put in the freezer.

As a way of apologizing for barging in every time I always did some baking for them. No matter how many times I had been told that I could just walk in, it still didn't fully feel right to me. So, I kept some pre portioned cookie dough that I had made in their freezer. This meant that each time I came over they could have some fresh baked cookies.

"Hey, little momma. Oh, Chocolate and macadamia" I shake my head at Damon's new nickname for me. I feel him press a short kiss to the back of my head before he starts making himself a cup of coffee.

"So, how did the rescue go last night?" I ask as I jump up on to the counter, the cookies now in the over. "Meh" was the only response I got as Damon shrugs and leans against the counter nonchalantly. "How's Stefan?" I ask in a calm tone trying not to worry Damon over nothing.

"Being an angsty teenager. Locked himself in his room, music blaring." He tells me and he drinks his coffee, I ignore the fact that he added in bourbon. "I'm going to go say hi, take the cookies out in 8 minutes." I order as I jump off the counter and go upstairs, hearing a faint 'yes ma'am' from the kitchen.

I knock on Stefans door and wait for him to open it. When it remains closed, I knock once more. "I've got all day Stefanie. Open the door or I will." I threaten. Not even a second later the lock clicks and the door swings open. "Yes, Stella?"

"I came to check on you. I wanted to see how you're doing." I say, my gaze and voice softening at the pain I see in his eyes. I keep my distance knowing it isn't easy for him right now to remain in control. "Try and stay away from blood for today and I'll see if I can come up with a stronger spell." I whisper so Damon doesn't hear. Stefans gaze snaps up to mine in shock.

He relaxes and nods slowly, looking back down at the floor as if he was a child being scolded. "I'll be back up in a sec." I tell him before I run back downstairs. I grab a glass and fill it halfway with bourbon before mixing in animal blood and just a few drops of human blood from the blood storage. I take the glass up to him, curious as to whether or not it would work.

"Here" I press the glass into his hand. I had come back up to find him sat on his bed with his head in his hands, the previously depressing music was switched out for some piano. He takes a sip and I watch as his whole body relaxes. I smile and ruffle his hair. "I'll make a jug, so you don't get tempted by a blood bag. I'll call you if I find anything okay?"

"Okay, Thank you, Star. I don't know what I do without you sometimes. You have done so much for me and those I care about and yet you have never asked for anything in return." I smile sadly at his heart broken tone and press a kiss to his forehead. "You deserve better." Is all I say before I go downstairs. I fill a large drink dispenser with a few bottles of bourbon from the wine cellar and mix in both types of blood. I leave it in the fridge after clearing a shelf and sticking a pot-it note to it to let Damon know it had animal blood in it. I grin to myself as I skip out of the house knowing Damon would find the note amusing.

The bright pink post-it read 'Stefan, 🐇' I even drew a little syringe. If anyone else saw it, they would be confused but I knew both Damon and Stefan would have a good laugh about it.
