Reborn a witch

I dressed in a smart but casual outfit of black tight fitted jeans, a burgundy blouse and thin black blazer. I wore a pair of black high tops and went down stairs for breakfast. Claire was already there with my parents and I eat form toast quickly before filling a flask with some coffee for Bonnie

"Come on Princess. Time for school." I chuckle silently when Claire groans and slide off her chair and onto the floor. My parents laugh at her response and when she refuses to get off the floor I grab one of her ankles and drag her o the front door, She giggles loudly the whole way feeling better. I let her go so she can take her bag and I take my own off the hook and get my keys.  "Princess don't forget to start packing your things things tonight. Child serves gave their approval for me to adopt you so we can move into the new house. Okay?"

"Okay, Can uncle Jere help?"

"Sure I'll ask." She get out of the car once we reach her school and I wave to her.

When I finally get to school I take the box from the back seat and the flask from the cup holder before going to find Bonnie. When I do I hand her the coffee. "Oh, my god. Your a life saver. How'd you know?" I tap the side of my nose and wink making her shake her head with an amused look. She held the flask in both hands like it was her life line as she takes a few sips. "We have out new history teacher starting today."

"Do you know anything about him?"

"Nope. I have to go, I'll see you at lunch okay?"

"Yeah. I want to talk to you anyway" I nod and give her a hug, hoping to make her feel better. I walk to the history room and knock on the door twice before walking in. 

"Hi, You must be Alaric Saltzman. I'm Aadya Thornton." I give a polite smile to make Ric feel a little less tense "Well, its wonderful to meet you Aadya. please call me Ric."

"Well then call me Addie. Everyone else does. Anyway my daughter found out about the new history teacher and insisted on baking cupcakes as a welcome. I hope you like red velvet." I hold up the small cake box in my hands that held four cupcakes.

"It's my favourite actually. Thank you." He smiles as he takes the box. "Well, I have to get to class. I think I have you third period. Good luck." I turn around to leave before stopping and turning back "Oh! a little piece of advice the students will test your patients the first day so see how they can push your limits. Just stand your ground. You should be fine."

"Thank you. I'll, uh, keep that in mind." I smile and walk out. I see Jeremy on the say to class and quickly give him a hug. "Movies at mine tonight? Claire and I could use some help packing" I ask as I fix his fluffy hair.

"Sure, I'll bring popcorn." I wave to his friends and go to class.

Lessons went as they usually did and at lunch I sat outside with Bonnie and Elena as Bonnie tells us about her dream. "And then I ended up at the remains of the old fell Church before I woke up back in the woods."

"And you always see your ancestor Emily?" Elena asks as I eat my pasta I brought from the canteen. "Huh"

"Do you believe in ghosts?"

"Yes" I say as I look at Bonnie. "I think I'm being haunted." I nod at Bonnie's words and point to the crystal. "Witches talisman can have a deep connection with the witches that wear them, especially if it is passed on to another family member."

She nods slowly as if she was just starting to understand my words "But why Emily." I roll my eyes at Elena and face her. "Didn't you listen to anything I just said?" She ignored me and I mutter "bitch" under my breath. Bonnie hears me and elbows my side as she tries to hide a smile

"Grams said she was a powerful witch in the Civil War days. This medallion was hers. It's a witch's talisman."

"And it all started when you go the necklace?" Elena really had a habit of asking questions that have already been answered. "I think she's using it to communicate with me."

"Okay, What does Grams say about it?"

"I can't call her. She's gonna tell me to embrace it. I don't wanna embrace it. I want it to stop." I put down my fork and pull Bonnie into a side hug. When I let her go I hold out the double chocolate muffin I had also brought from the canteen. "Halfsies?" She smiles and relaxes before grabbing half the cupcake and tearing it with me. We both giggle like we were in preschool as we enjoy the chocolatey treat. Elena rolls her eyes at us but doesn't say anything. 

When School is over I drive to Claire's school to pick her up. I got there a little earlier then usual so I met her at the gate rather then her meeting me at the car. When she sees me she runs over and I smile at I pick her up. "Did Ric like the cupcakes?" She asks in greeting and I his her still slightly chubby cheeks. "He loved them, and you were right, red velvet was his favourite." She smiles, happy that her tuition had been right, and kisses my cheek before resting her head on my shoulder. I kiss the top of her head and put her in the car and drive us to my parents. "Jere will be here after he has an early dinner with Jenna. Why don't you set up the movie while I get the suitcases?"

"Okay momma."

She runs up the stairs and I grab the suitcases from the shed out back. I use my magic to make them lighter so when their full they don't become too difficult to pick up. 

I started with my clothes and I made sure to leave out an outfit for tomorrow and a set of sleepwear for tonight. My clothes filled two of the giant suitcases and one of the little ones. 

I help Claire with her clothes and since she had a lot less then me her things only filled up one of the bigger ones. Now all Jeremy had to help us do was pack everything else. 

I got a text from Damon that Bonnie was now Emily and I asked him not to hurt her. He promised that he wouldn't and I took his word for it as I cuddled up with my daughter and watched beauty and the beast for what was probably the 50th time.

Hidden somewhere in the next 3 chapter will be a hint as to who Addy's love interest will be.
