Chap 9

Aside from the incident this morning nothing much happened with Jisoo, Wendy and, Seulgi's day. On the contrary, it strangely went smoothly except for the strange occasional stares they get from other students and the fact that their classmates had started to alienate them, everything was pretty much normal.

School had ended and the trio are by the entrance of the school looking quite emotionally exhausted and off. "[What now?]ENGLISH" Wendy asked Jisoo and Seulgi. "[I dunno... let's hang out at Seulgi's place.]ENGLISH" Jisoo suggested. "[We can't, some of my parents' friends are visiting and they'll be annoying us if we go there.] ENGLISH" Seulgi refused. "[What about your place?] ENGLISH" Jisoo asked. "[We can't my brother is hosting a party, and I don't us to be bothered by my brother's guests. Let's hang out at your place instead.]ENGLISH" Wendy suggested. "[Yeah sure but what are we going to do there?]ENGLISH" Jisoo asked. "[How about we try going to a fast-food restaurant, we've never tried it before.] ENGLISH" Seulgi suggested.

While the trio was talking, Lisa was 10 meters away stalking them and by her side was Rosé looking at her lovingly while Yeri was looking at them in disgust. "What are you doing? Let's go." Joy said calling the attention of the three. "You guys go ahead, today I will continue my investigation on those three." Lisa said not looking away. "By that, you mean stalking them." Yeri "What?! No, I told you they were fishy. Earlier this morning I saw Jennie's pet coming out of a luxurious apartment near my place. They're suspicious I tell you." Lisa said. "Well, whatever we're leaving. You coming Rosé?" Yeri asked. "Nah, I'm gonna accompany Lisa" Rosé said. "Alright see you later."

"We're here." Wendy announced. "McDonald's, the world's biggest fast-food chain. I wonder how their food will taste like." Seulgi said with her eyes sparkling. "Let's get in." Jisoo said as the three went into the store and lead the two to a table to settle down.

Lisa saw that the three went in so together with Rosé they also went in and unlike the trio, they immediately went to the counter and ordered food. Once they received their food Lisa found them a seat not too far from the trio where they can see them but hide from them. Five minutes passed with Lisa staring at the three while feeding Rosé and yet there was still no action. They were just sitting there looking awkward while chatting.

"Why has still no one come yet?" Wendy whispered. "I don't know but they sure have bad customer service. The waiter should have been minutes ago." Seulgi whispered dissatisfied. "I think we were supposed to go over there and order food." Jisoo said motioned towards the counter. "We should ask." Wendy said. "Excuse me, why has no one taken our order yet? It's our first time eating here." Jisoo asked a staff. "Orders are taken, paid, and given over the counter right there." The staff politely said pointing at the counter. "Thank you." Jisoo said. "They must be a bunch of country bumkins. Welp, I was like them when I first came to the city too." The staff thought as he saw the trio went towards the counter.

The trio proceeded towards the counter to take their orders but was surprised to see plenty of burger varieties. "What should we get?" Wendy asked. "We should get one of each." Seulgi suggested. "No, we shouldn't. What if we don't like it" Wendy argued. "Let's just get what the staff recommends." Jisoo said the moment they were in front of the cashier. "What can I get for you?" The cashier asked. "We'd like 3 of the same burger set that you would recommend." Wendy said. "Then I recommend you the BigMac burger set. That would be ₩13500." The cashier said. Jisoo took out a ₩50000 bill from her wallet and handed it to the cashier. "Do you have a smaller bill?" The cashier said. "No, I don't." Jisoo said "Then Your change is ₩36500. Here is your meal, change, and receipt. Enjoy." The cashier said as she slides the tray with food towards them and hands over the receipt and change which Jisoo accepted. Seulgi carried the tray over back to the table they occupied earlier.

Since nothing, much was happening Lisa decided to leave with Rosé and go to where the rest of their friend group was.

"I'm quite curious as to what these burgers will taste like." Wendy said as she and the two unwrapped their burgers. "Let's all take a bite together." Seulgi said as she and the others took a bite of their burgers. They all were eager to taste the burgers but after one bite they had dissatisfied reactions, and all proceeded to grab their drinks to wash down the food. "It's... new, it is something we've never tried before." Wendy said. "It's not that bad but it's also not that good either. It's so-so." Seulgi said. "After this, I won't eat here again." Jisoo said. The three were disappointed because they had high expectations but the three had been eating meals prepared by Michelin chefs since they were young, so their taste buds were quite different from the majority. Jisoo herself learned how to cook from Michelin chefs. Although dissatisfied with their meals they were trained not to waste food so although they did not enjoy their meals, they were able to finish them.

When they finished their meals, they had cleaned up their table as they have observed the others around them do so and left immediately when they finished. They were about to get their bikes and leave but a familiar car stopped right in front of them. It was the same car that had picked up Jisoo from the airport. Instead of the same driver going out of the car, it was Butler Moon, the head butler of the Kim's stationed in Korea. "It's been a while since I have seen you, young miss, and hello to you too miss Son and miss Kang. If you, please come with me. I've come to show you the café, young miss had instructed me to prepare." He said as he bowed and gestured the trio to get inside the car. "Do not worry about your bikes, I will have someone to bring them back to your respective households." He added. The trio then went inside the car. And not a minute longer they drove off to the café he talked about.

They had arrived at the place and parked in front of it. It was not far from Jisoo's apartment building, just 3 blocks away from it. Butler Moon had shown them around the area, It had a large kitchen, a resting area for the staff, two locker rooms, 6 bathrooms a large storage room, multiple bookshelves, lots of tables with comfy seats, and private meeting rooms upstairs. After touring the place, Butler Moon introduced all 20 staff personnel to Jisoo, and he introduced her as their boss who will be working with them when she feels like it. The staff will all work in time rotation. All in all, the café named Siesta was large, it is probably the largest café in the area.
