CHAP 2

3RD POV

2 days passed quickly for Jisoo and now she was in her private plane on her way to Seoul South Korea where her best friends were waiting for her at the airport. She was very excited to meet with them.

Jisoo had a lonely childhood, she lost her beloved mother and father in a car accident when she was at a tender age of 4, in order to get over her parents death, she spent most of her time learning various things to pass her time and was homeschooled the moment she turned 6. Although she had her grandfather with her, he was too busy with work to spend enough time with her, the only times she and her grandfather would bond would be on birthdays, holidays and some rare times when her grandfather wasn't busy, though they would send messages to each other every day.

On her 10th birthday, she had requested her grandfather if she could learn martial arts. The day after, they flew to Seoul South Korea where her grandfather introduced her to the Kang's and entrusted her to their care, she would receive martial arts lessons from them. That day she met Kang Seulgi and became quick friends with her then Seulgi introduced her to her best friend Son Seungwan also known as Son Wendy.

The Kang's took care of Jisoo for 2 years and sometimes the Son's would take care of Jisoo at the same time she was homeschooled together with Seulgi and Wendy. With the 2 years they had spent together they became best friends who shared each other's stories, experiences, secrets and fears with one another. Although Jisoo had to leave she made sure to video call and send messages to them every day, she would also spend time with them during summer break where she invites them to the country she was staying at, to spend time with them. Together they learned various sports and activities such as sailing, horseback riding, skiing and many more. Those were fond memories that they shared and now Jisoo would finally get to experience a life of a normal teenager together with her best buddies, though Jisoo has countless of foreign friends, they weren't as close as she was to Seulgi and Wendy.

"JISOO!!!" The moment Jisoo had walked out of the airport's terminal she was greeted by a shouting bear whom immediately engulfed in bear crushing hug and a second later Olaf joined the hug.

"Yah, I-I c-can't breathe!" Jisoo said as she struggled against the tight group hug. "Hahaha... Sorry, it's just... It's been 5 months since we last saw you." Seulgi said emotionally as she and Wendy let go of her. "We just miss our other best friend." Wendy smiled towards Jisoo and linked arms with her. "So anyways... where are your bags, Don't tell me you didn't bring them with you." Wendy said. "Well, I won't tell you then." Jisoo said as she surged her shoulders. "Wait, you actually didn't bring any luggage with you?" Seulgi asked bewildered by her best friends nonchalance. "Yup! Everything's already been prepared for me, so I didn't see any point in bringing any luggage at all. I only brought with me some cash, my cards and important documents like my passport and ID placed inside my backpack." Jisoo said and both her best friends just surge as they are used to Jisoo's easygoing personality. The three of them then engage to a casual conversation about the things they've done for the last 5 months and a minute later a man in a black suit approached the three.

"Excuse me miss Kim Jisoo, I am Lee Jun Seo, Kim Family's chauffer stationed here in Korea. The master asked me take your penthouse." Jun Seo said politely. "Oh, I won't be staying at the family estate and when did I have a penthouse?" Jisoo asked confused. "The master said that the Kim estate is too far from your school, so he purchased a penthouse under your name located in Gangnam. Please follow me young miss, I'll take you there." Jun Seo said as he gestured Jisoo and company to follow him.

The three were lead by Jun Seo towards a black Rolls Royce Cullinan limousine parked in front of the Incheon International Airports' arrival area and as soon as they arrived in front of the car, Jun Seo opened the car door for the girls to enter and then he went to the driver's seat and drove away heading to the center part of Gangnam. During the car ride the girls continued their conversation not worrying if the chauffer could hear them as the partition of the limousine was up and thus enabling privacy for the girls.

It didn't take long before they arrived at their destination. The chauffer let down the partition and informed the girls that they have arrived. "We've arrived young misses. Miss Kim this is as far as I go, master had told me that someone else will handle the rest." "Thank you Mr. Lee" Jisoo and her friends then headed inside the building in front after being dropped off by the chauffer whom drove away right after.

Upon entering the building they were immediately entertained by a person who seemed like he was waiting for them. "Good afternoon miss Kim, and to you young ladies, I am Cho Hyun Woo CEO of Cho Real Estates. I will be guiding you to your penthouse which is on the top floor and will be giving you a brief description of your penthouse." Jisoo nodded towards the CEO who gestured them to follow him to the elevator. "Your penthouse has 2 floors composing of the entire 25th and 26th floor. It has 1 master's bedroom with a walk in closet, 3 bedrooms with walk in closets, 2 guestrooms, a library, a study, a music room, a gym, a living room, a kitchen, a family room, a laundry room, a dining room, a balcony, 6 bathrooms and a powder room" The CEO said as they traveled up towards the penthouse. "Oh, I almost forgot. This is the keycard to your penthouse miss Kim, and this is a letter from President Kim. He asked me to hand you this letter when you've arrived" The CEO said as he handed Jisoo a black card and a letter. "This is as far as I go miss Kim, I hope you like the penthouse." He said as the three girls exited the elevator. "Have a good day miss Kim and to you too miss Kang and miss Son." With that the elevator closed and headed back to the ground floor. Upon entering the penthouse, the girls were impressed by the interior of the place and began exploring it.

"Isn't this place too big for just a single person to live in?" Wendy asked Jisoo as the three of them lounged in the couch of the spacious living room of the penthouse. "Well it's smaller compared to the penthouse I have in Paris but I had servants living with me..." Jisoo said as she surged her shoulders. "Well you are a Kim, this level of luxury will not dent your Swiss bank account" Seulgi said. "Hahaha very funny, you do know that us Kim's only use that account to deposit in assets, we don't take anything from it. We use a different bank account that way our privacy won't be at stake." Jisoo said as she stretched her legs and placed it on top of the table by the couch.

An hour after chilling in the living room, Seulgi and Wendy bid their friend a goodbye with the promise of meeting up tomorrow. Jisoo then remembered that she had yet to read her grandfather's letter. So she opened the letter and read it.

Dearest Jisoo,

I have here a list of important things I want you to take note of.

1. There will be no chauffer that will assist you in getting to places you want to go, you will either walk, commute, or ride a bicycle to get you to places. You can still ask for a pilot if you want to go to places outside of Seoul.

2. There will be no chef cooking for you. You took cooking classes from a master chef , so use your skill

3. The housekeepers will sweep your place every once a week.

4. Enjoy your youth, but don't party too much that you'd pass out.

That's all I wanted to say. Have an enjoyable experience.

Your Grandfather,

Kim Hyun Jung.

"He could've just sent me text message..."After reading the letter, Jisoo prepared herself for bed as she was still jetlagged and didn't feel like eating dinner.
