Akihiko and I sat silently as they looked around the table. Everybody in the investigation team had this look of utter dread upon their faces, Aki decided to break the silence."I can see how you guys feel about this Midnight Channel, but sitting around and being depressed isn't gonna help anybody." He said bluntly.
Yu raised his head and nodded in agreement, "this is true."
Rise looked over at Aki with an annoyed look as she rolled her eyes, "well if you're gonna be so passionate about all this, why don't you come up with a plan."
"We get to work imminently, figure out why it came back or if it even ever truly left. Once we have some sort of idea of what is going on we go from there. I say we start by exploring the place (Y/N) and I fell into."
Nobody was prepared for Aki to reply so quickly and with an actual plan on top of that.
Yu smiled as he leaned back in his seat, "Well that's a start at least, speaking of which what can you tell us about what happened last night? I mean (Y/N) sort of explained it with that little outburst, but is there any more detail you could give us?"
Aki looked down at me and gave me a little nudge. I yawned and did my best to sit up straight.
"We fell into the TV after we saw some weird talk show host version of me, they did a little mocking and disappeared but not before saying that they were 'shadow projections' and lured us in to be killed. After that, a bunch of guys in black suits came out and before you knew it we had ourselves and old fashion shoot out, and then we left, got yelled at by a homeless guy, and then went to bed." I explained the best I could before almost running out of breath.
"Wait what!? Men in suits? Shoot out? Homeless guy?" Yosuke rubbed his head as his brain tried to play catch up.
"Oh did I mention the aliens that shoved a probe up my ass?" I smiled.
"Don't mess with me this is serious!"
I then noticed Naoto holding back a little laughter as she looked down at the table.
"Oh come Naoto don't feed into it!" Yosuke sighed.
After that fun exchange, Yu, Yosuke, and Naoto agreed to meet up at our house to inspect the TV world the following day. I have gotta say Naoto is a lot of fun to speak with once you get her out of her shell, and to be honest I got quite siked when she volunteered to come over tomorrow and help out. After chatting for a little while, people started to head off one by one until it was just me, Aki, Naoto, and Yu.
"I wanted to ask," Yu said as he began to stand up, "are two busy the rest of the day?"
"Not particularly," I responded.
"Well, would you two like me to show you around?" He asked.
I looked over at Aki who shrugged, that didn't tell me much so I'm just gonna go with it.
"Sure, sounds like fun." I smiled.
"Awesome!" Yu smiled back, "you're welcome to join as well Naoto."
Naoto thought for a moment, "I think I will." She said standing up.
And with that, the four of us made our way into town.
Yu and Naoto showed us around the town, giving us tours of the local businesses and such. There was a book store, a weapons shop, and some sort of shrine in the middle of town. After a few hours of wandering around, we found ourselves standing outside a restaurant called the Chinese Diner Aiya. We all sat down at the bar and ordered some food as we talked amongst ourselves. Eventually, our conversation landed back at the matter at hand with the TV.
