Amari woke up, but she wasn't in Loki's room. She was at the place where Her mom died.

Amari...

Amari looked up, to see her mom, looking down at her with disappointment. "M-Mom?" Amari began walking to her and hugged her. "I-I thought I lost you.." she whispered, tears all over her face.

Her mom soothed her, gently stroking her hair. "Shhh...It's alright." She said.

"I am rather disappointed..."

"Why, mother?"

"Well, for starters, you slept with the man that killed me." Her mother gently pushed Amari away.

"I-I-"

"How do you know he isn't just trying to use you....to use you for his benefit." Amari's mom asked, her hands on her hips, slowly circling Amari.

"I-I-"

"How do you know he cares about your wellbeing?" She continued.

"He's changed, I know he isn't the man that he was 4 years ago." Amari managed to say, her breath was short.

"Oh really? And how do you know that?"

"Because he was under Thanos' control. He didn't know what he was doing-"

"And how did he get under Thanos' control? Did he get captured? Or did he agree with him?"

"I-I...I don't know. "

"I expected more from you Amari. You don't know anything about this god, but yet you are quick to trust him. Your so needy, so pathetic. " her mother spat.

Amari couldn't believe what she was hearing. Her mother never called her any names or looked at her with such disgust.

"I'm done talking to you. You are a disappointment. " her mother said, before disappearing in a cloud of blue smoke.

Amari woke up, her face covered in sweat. She started crying loudly and woke Loki up. "Amari? Amari, what's wrong?" Loki asked, he was worried.

"M-My mother...S-She...." she hiccups and began to cry again. Loki held her close to him, trying to calm her down.

"Shhh...It's alright, calm down, darling." He whispered, rocking her, trying to soothe her.

"She hates me..." Amari hiccups.

"How do you know that?" Loki asked.

"She said so herself..." Amari said, burying her face in Loki's neck.

"Why does she hate you, darling?" Loki asked, stroking her hair. "Because I'm dating the man who murdered her...you..." Amari whispered, and began to cry even more.

Loki went silent. "I...I'm so sorry Amari..." Loki whispered, tears falling down his face. Amari looked at him and whipped the tears from his face.

"It's alright...I know it wasn't you that killed her. Or the other victims. " Amari whispered and cuddled against Loki.

The amber-colored sun shined on Amari, making her stir awake.

She stretched and noticed that Loki wasn't sleeping next to her.

'Where did he go?' She thought, and she walked to the bathroom and got into the shower. After she was done, she slid on a loose grey t-shirt with black shorts.

She went down the elevator, to the living room, where bruce and thor were watching TV.

"Ah, Hello lady Amari!" Thor boomed, giving me a big smile. "Good morning! Have you seen your brother?" Amari asked, and sat beside Bruce and Thor.
