my eyes fluttered open, I had a very short dream,

though I've slept for too long.

in case all of you were wondering what happened while i was in dreamland,

there's nothing to worry,

the dream wasn't too dreamy for me to bother with another story-telling.

i looked up and noticed that the sun was already setting.

the sky displayed hues of orange and navy blue,

the clouds are cumulus today.

i stood up and visited my own gravestone,

looking if ever there was something new left by the people who knew me.

just like my normal days,

only the withered flowers were there— the same gardenias, lilacs, and dandelions that people have gifted me occasionally.

my eyes scanned for something else beside the dead petals.

perhaps, jake had left something.

oh please, anything would suffice my longing.

...but just like any other day,

there was none.

the empty sight did not satisfy me— but it did satisfy my disappointing expectations.

a heavy sigh fell out of my lips. i wish i could meet my love again.

but each day goes by, that wish is slowly becoming a blur.

did... jake forgot about me?

please, just one more time...

i want to meet him again.

i want to see his face again,

i want hear his voice again,

i want to feel his warmth again.

call me greedy and desperate,

but i couldn't move on.

just then did i reminisced about the first time we met.

it was a warm sunny day.

he was helping a lost kid out,

and well, that kid turns out to be my male cousin.

jake is like a charming prince.

that smile of his was the first one to melt my heart,

then when I heard his soft mellow voice greeting me,

it repeated in my mind like a mellifluous song on loop.

and then for the first time, we shook hands followed by a soft greeting,

i swore to have felt a spark of electric shock all over my body like waves of goosebumps.

my cousin loved him in an instant,

and continuously bugged him to play with him.

of course, prince charming would never let a kid down.

he'd ask jake to eat with him, back at my cousin's home.

and of course, i would also be there.

my attraction towards Jake forced me to my cousin's home almost everyday.

and soon, that attraction of mine grew into something more in no time.

i huffed loudly as i felt like i took my days for granted.

i wish i could turn back time,

and watch all of those memories endlessly.

i could never get tired of that young love we had.

because, you know, we just.. clicked.

like we're just meant for each other.

i walked around the graveyard,

taking in the fresh air and stretching my limbs out.

my eyes continuously wandered over the seemingly endless vicinity.

and just as if god heard my wish,

i... i saw him.
