Chapter 13

"Tingin nang tingin!" bulong ko sa sarili ko.

Kanina pa kami pinagtitinginan ni Yohan ng mga tao dito. I mean... it's understandable considering that I'm with someone who can easily attract attention, but their stares are getting on my nerves!

"Yohan?" I called him, getting his attention.

"Hmm?" he looked at me, lightly raising his brows.

Bakit ang cute at gwapo niya at the same time?!

"I think we need to buy a mask for you," I said, scratching my temple.

"Why?" he asked with confusion in his face.

"B-Because people are looking at you..." I said, avoiding his eyes.

I was waiting for his answer, but I got impatient and looked at him. My eyes slightly widened when our eyes locked. He was staring at me, tilting his head to the side with a smile on his lips.

"Sure. If that's what you want," he chuckled.

Pumasok kami sa isang tindahan para bumili ng face mask para sa kan'ya. I thought that wearing it would lessen the stares, but I was wrong. The situation got even worse! Mas lalo kaming pinagtitinginan ng mga tao!

"Si Yohan ba 'yan?"

I was about to look at where the voice came from when I suddenly felt Yohan grabbing my wrist.

"Run," he said, and started running which made me, too.

"Yohan, what's going on?" I asked, my voice was shaky.

He wasn't paying attention to me.

"Yohan, why are we running?" I asked him again.

"Behind us," he said loudly, making me look back.

A large crowd was trailing behind us, screaming and cheering his name. So his fans noticed him!? Naka-disguise na nga 'yung tao, e!

"What are we gonna do?!" I asked worriedly.

"Geogjeonghaji maseyo. Geudeul-eul sog-ija!" he looked at me with a playful smile.

At nagawa pa niya talagang ngumiti? Oo na! Gwapo ka na! Hindi mo na kailangang ipamukha sa 'kin!

Mas binilisan namin ang aming pagtakbo para maligaw namin 'yung mga humahabol samin. They were also running so fast! Para silang mga pating na uhaw na uhaw sa dugo namin. Nakakatakot! Ang dami nila!

Sana kay Pearl na lang ako sumama!

We quickly made our way to a dark alley to hide ourselves there. We then leaned our back against the wall to even disguise ourselves more.

"Did we lose them?" I whispered to him.

Yohan stepped out of the alley quietly and slowly, checking if we were not being followed anymore.

"Yes, we did— shit."

Yohan hurriedly ran towards my spot, and leans his hands on the wall behind me, making his body faced mine, as well as his face.

"Don't move," he whispered, putting his finger on his lips.

Yohan moved his face closer to mine when we heard rushing footsteps going by. I was completely surprised by what he did that it slightly made me jumped. He's too close!

"Nasaan ba sila?!"

"Tingnan natin doon!"

"Tara!"

Nanatili kaming tahimik ni Yohan hanggang sa wala na kaming narinig na yabak. Agad akong nakahinga ng maluwag. Buti naman at wala na sila!

I was about to move when I felt Yohan's body on me, which made me stunned. I completely forgot that was standing right in front of me. I was covered by his body since he's taller than me. His face was so near to my neck that I couldn't even move!

Before I could do something embarrassing, I quickly pulled myself together and broke the silence between us.

"I think they're gone now..." I uttered in small voice.

"Uh... right," he said, stepping back. His eyes were panicking as he scratched the back of his neck.

Silence instantly fell between us. Hindi ko alam kung kinakabahan ba ako o nahihiya, pero hindi ako makapagsalita. Parang may kung anong humahawak sa dila ko. I can't let out a single word from my mouth!

"Let's... go?" he said, breaking the silence.

"Okay..." I answered, and then we went out of the alley.

We decided to try the Haunted House. Yohan was very loud the whole tour we did. He would react to every single thing that appears in front of us. He was too cute that I was smiling the entire time instead of getting scared.

"That was scary!" he said, wiping off his sweat around his forehead.

Kita ko naman, babe. Char!

"Yeah, it was!" I said, smiling at him. "How about we ride the roller coaster this time?" I suggested.

"Sounds great," his expression brightened up.

I was so excited to try the ride since it looked so fun. But the moment I sat on that bench, I immediately regretted my decision.

"Are you feeling better now?" Yohan handed me a tissue.

"I'm fine..." I responded weakly, wiping off my lips.

I didn't know that roller coasters were that harsh! I got so dizzy that it made me vomit! Buti na lang talaga nung natapos na 'yung ride ako nasuka!

"Drink this," he said, opening the cap of the water before handing it to me.

"Thanks," tinanggap ang tubig na inabot niya

Humigop ako ng konti at nagmumog bago ako tuluyang uminom. Unti-unti namang nawala ang pagkahilo ko pagkatapos ko uminom ng tubig.

"Let's sit over there," Yohan said, pointing the bench across the street.

Dahan-dahan lang akong naglakad papalapit sa upuan dahil nanghihina pa ang katawan ko sa pagsusuka. Wala na atang natira na pagkain sa loob ng tiyan ko!

Napabuntong hininga ako nang makaupo ako. I slowly leaned my back on the bench to relax my body a little bit.

Hays, nakakapagod sumuka.

I was about to close my eyes when I heard a loud sound coming from the sky, making me alert. The view of the fireworks immediately filled my eyes. Napangiti ako nang bahagya habang pinagmamasdan ang pagputok ng iba't ibang kulay nito. It was so beautiful.

"Wow... ang ganda!" I said in amusement. I couldn't take off my eyes from it.

"Yes, it's really beautiful," Yohan said that made me look at him. He was also looking at the sky.

I saw how his lips formed into a smile as he slowly diverted his attention to me, making our eyes locked.

"Just like you."
