"Hoy, ito na ang kimchi fried rice mo."

Napatingin ako kay Aerin nang inilapag niya yung pina-order ko sa kan'ya na kimchi fried rice sa table ko.

"Hay salamat!" I immediately grabbed the food that she got for me and opened it. Gutom na gutom na ako!

"So, ano? Tumuloy ba?" Aerin asked, which made my eyebrows creased. Naguguluhan.

"Ha? Anong tumuloy?" I said, chewing my food.

"Tanga, 'yung nag pa-enroll. Tumuloy ba siya or hindi?" she asked once again, almost rolling her eyes.

"Tumuloy," I answered plainly.

"Mabuti naman, may another student na naman tayo." She said, which made me roll my eyes.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that we will be having a new student, but I don't like the person who came here for the new student!

What happened to me three years ago wasn't easy. I've been distracting myself by focusing more on my studies to ease the pain since I was a graduating student. I was so broken, but I tried to rebuild my broken walls again.

And I succeed.

After I graduated, I came to Korea to work as an English teacher. At first, I was skeptical about it because I knew that my ex was from here. There would be a big chance to meet him. But I just shrugged that thought off. I won't break my love for Korea just because of one person who didn't give me good memories. That's too low-minded.

For the past few years, I've been doing well. I met Aerin at work, who became my good friend. She once studied English in Cebu, so communication wasn't hard for us. She knows how to speak Tagalog and Bisaya as well. She was one of the best people that came into my life.

My life has been good.

However, after seeing that guy, I don't believe it is still good. He literally destroyed my day. He wants what? He wants to talk? He cheated on me and didn't even message me to explain the reason why he did that, yet he had the guts to tell me na pwede ba kaming mag-usap? Ang kapal ng mukha.

I don't want to talk to him, and I will never talk to him.

Never.

"Soap Seoul tayo mamaya?" Aerin excitedly said, which made my forehead wrinkle.

"Bakla, covid." I rolled my eyes at her. This girl really loves clubbing, for heaven's sake.

"Kunti na lang ang case ng covid!" she made a cutesy lip pout, which made me raise my eyebrows. That won't work on me, girl.

"No," I answered with full of finality in my tone.

"Eh, may ipapakilala ako sayo!" My face immediately lit up at what she said.

"Pogi ba?" I asked, getting excited.

I saw how she smirked.

"Mayaman siya!" sagot niya.

"Pogi ba?" I asked again.

"Mabait siya!" she said proudly.

"Pogi ba?" I asked once again, getting irritated now.

"A-ano, may car siya!" she said, sounded so nervous.

"Eh, wala akong pake!" I said, and put down my food to bug her. "Kahit 20 pa ang cars niya wala akong pakialam." I added.
